Of course he isn't mate. But it's about the romance of it all, football can be more about just money and trophies and this is a great story.

You'll get a story like this one day, and when you do enjoy it for being what it's all about rather than all the exaggerated fluff that goes on these days my friend ;)
exactly, that's why I said it was a fun transfer in my initial post, for us it would have been fun for the banter and the reception at Old Trafford, for you it's someone like Ronaldo returning which is great for the fans, enjoy it but I'll be often looking in on the Ronaldo performance threads with interest :smirk:

Keep bringing the salt, I can't get enough!
What? Are you not realising he was offering himself to Manchester City just one or two days ago, what's difficult to understand about that? And when that didn't go through he realise Manchester United is decent too.

How old are you, 17?

Scenes in the past 24hrs! It looked done and dusted for citeh and I had resigned myself to the fact he would be playing for them in a few weeks. I can't quite believe he might be coming back to us. Not too sure what to make of it. Emotionally I am ecstatic. Long term planning looks to have been hoofed out the window however. I'd still like to see us go after Haaland next summer regardless.

Anyway, if he comes in and bangs in 30 goals this year with the providers behind him you'd have to say we have a big chance at going for the league title again

I said here I didn't see him leaving Juve this window. I said I'd come here and admit I was wrong if he did move.d

I was wrong. Although, to be fair, from what Allegri mentioned in the press conference today, by the last game he was still planning to stay, so my messages were a few dayswere pretty correct to a degree - but I was still wrong.

I can't believe Man Utd have gone in for him. I'm a bit afraid a comeback could tarnish his status, if he doesn't perform well, and you guys are super critical at time of your players, but honest to god if he goes to City it'll damage his status with Man Utd forever. Although I don't think Man Utd can contend for the CL, I'd be much more happy to once again concile my love for Utd and Ronaldo, much more so than him going to City and my heart having a huge conflict of interest.

Dig up stupid!
I'm probably most excited for the OT atmosphere than even him playing.

Viva Ronaldo was always a massive favourite of mine and OT will be absolutely fckin bouncing

I'm also so glad I get to watch him with my youngest son who was born after he left, I can't wait for that moment with him.
I'm 40 years old and grinning like a dick head

As much as we really should be focusing on a CM.... It's fecking Cristiano Ronaldo. If this goes through I'd be super excited.

Even though he is 36, he is always in incredible condition and has the right kind of mentality to help younger players like Greenwood and Amad.

Although it's pretty disappointing if we don't get a defensive midfielder, for me this would be a 10/10 transfer window. The boost to the squad would be huge.

Loved seeing this play out.

Gotta say though, Bruno not being on Pens and FKs is a downgrade (hides).

OT is going to be absolutely buzzing to have Ronaldo back....that first match he walks out on the pitch is going to blow the roof off

5. Violett 179
6. Best 179
7. Spence 168
8. Giggs 168
9. Hughes 163
10. Scholes 155
11. Van Nistlerooy 150
12. Pearson 148
13. Herd 145
14. Taylor 131
15. McClair 127
16. Solskjaer 126
17. Cole 121
18. Ronaldo 118

So where does he end up. Over two seasons should sneak into the top 10? Maybe around Giggs?
Honestly, Ruud was just incredible. I know he isn't forgotten but doesn't get mentioned enough in my opinion, came at the wrong time for him in terms of trophies but right time in the sense he helped what was relatively poor/transition squad

You really aren't playing the game well here mate, I'm disappointed in you. For shame.
