Help! Noob question. Is it only season ticket holders that can use the “forward ticket” option when selling?

Hi guys just a quick one. In my email confirmation with the digital tickets for tomorrows game, you add them to your smartphone. 1 option is for googlepay (android) 1 option is for adding to apple wallet (iphone users)
I logged in on my friends iphone the other day and downloaded my ticket on his apply pay and now i downloaded the same ticket on my android and the QR codes are different but are both my ticket. Is it the case there are always 2 QR codes (one set one for apple and one for android)???

I would also like to know this as I am struggling to forward my ticket on when I've tried. Says I must have a strong relationship with the person whose ticket it is but it is my ticket! And the only people in my "network" are all set as strong relationships. Help appreciated.

I likely have to try and sell my Villarreal for tomorrow owing to a lack of petrol. Anyone looking for a spare DM me, £42;

Pretty sure members can't forward tickets so you'll need to pass on your e-ticket unless you can get a refund through the club on it.

This is interesting, just checked my Apple Wallet season ticket QR code vs. the PDF and they do look different. However I guess the different QR codes could still route through to the same link or however it works. Either way I wouldn't worry about it as long as you are definitely using the correct ticket.

Thanks for this. Seems odd the "forward" option is there but then you get an error message, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised by this website/ticketing system anymore though.

Got the train in for Villa and having to do the same for Everton, no trains home late enough midweek though so will have one last hunt for petrol today before giving up.

Thanks for your reply pal. I just have 1 last question.
The 2 tickets i purchased are for me and my sister. So in my account i have all the email confirmation etc as i purchased them on my login and put her membership for 1 ticket. She cant go now so i am going to take my partner however my partner doesnt have a membership.
Could i risk downloading my sister's ticket (who cant go) onto my partners phone as i have the confirmation email with the tickets on them anyway, or will they ask for ID at the turnstiles??

Anyone with any advice please let me know thanks

I called the ticket line and they sorted it for me. Apparently most of their calls are about system errors at the moment and this is one of them. So report it and hopefully they fix it as members can forward tickets to people.

99% sure you will be fine. Technically speaking according to T&Cs all tickets should be in the name of attendees but in reality that doesn't always happen and policing it would be a logistical nightmare - I've never had an ID check in 16 years of going to games at OT. Maybe try and aim to enter at a busier time which is usually around 20 mins before kick off, just to be sure.

Ah interesting, in this case I apologize for the incorrect information regarding members being able to forward. Should have known it was a broken feature from the club, again.

I think I'm right in saying for the cup games you can just text over the ticket qr code on WhatsApp and that should be enough, with it being a different code every game

Whereas with the league games you need to transfer over unless it's someone you know and trust enough

Random question. I nabbed a ticket for Villareal off the club website earlier sat in what's usually the away end. Does this mean Villareal aren't bringing any fans with them or is the away section going to be significantly smaller?

I've spent the last half hour getting cross

I'm trying to apply for a game through our local supporters club, for which we have to be members of United

According to the email from Utd in July, my membership would renew by direct debit on xx date.

I've checked my bank statement and it says "first payment" around that date at the cost of the membership

I've logged in and it says my membership expires in 2022, suggesting all renewed. I have the option to upgrade etc.

However my boyfriend has just renewed his manually, and received an email from United, with his "digital membership card" which apparently you need to access games

I However do not have one, I've searched my emails and I've logged in and tried to find it through the members portal. No card.

Has anyone the faintest idea of where it could be? I've emailed them to ask where it is, but it's concerning me that it may affect my application for the game?

It's making me crosser!

You won't need a digital membership card for access to games as it's all e-tickets now. You should receive individual match e-tickets for any games you get on your membership. Hope that helps in getting a little less cross. :)

Thank you!

Slightly less cross, though was spending so long being cross and trying to work it out I forgot to make lunch for work tomorrow so just had to do that!

How come my partner received his digital membership card just now into his "Apple Wallet?" I don't have an e wallet, and am on Android but thought they'd have sent me it in some format/you'd be able to get it through your membership log in on their website?

So if I get tickets, will they come through via email or when I log into United website or through text etc? It's been a while since I've been due to COVID and can unfortunately only attend 1 or 2 games a season due to costs/ where we live/ work pattern. Missing it!

They’ll come by email, there’ll be a way to add them either to an Apple wallet or the Google version (? I’m not familiar with Android) and also you should get a print at home option too although the club have said that they may check ID on any printed tickets at the turnstiles.

On Android just get the Pass wallet and you can load both the one United membership (when you sort that!) And the individual match ticket.
No idea what the benefit of the one United pass is, unless that's where they load the league games, but either way it should be easy enough.
Just print your ticket as a fall back and have ID too (very unlikely to make you use this) and you're covered on every angle.

No, on the concourses. Never any alcohol on sale normally for European games due to Uefa's weird rule but I am wondering if it had changed now?
It changed a few years ago.

Quick question for anyone that goes to a lot of European aways, or knows how it works.

So at the minute Atalanta away is open for anyone with 6 credits or more, yesterday it was 7 credits or more and tomorrow they will open it for anyone with 5 credits or more.

Do they just keep going down day by day like that? So once they open it for 5, then the next day 4 and the next day 3 and so on?

Or do they get to a point where they say ok everyone with 5 and above had a chance and now we just open it for everyone else (4,3,2 &1) now for example?

Same question here. I do not have any european credits, but I would love to go for that game. I can already see that the tickets are on sale, but unfortunately I cannot purchase any. Would it be even possible to buy a couple of tickets in my situation?

Thanks in advance for the response! :)
