Tbh I found the English football chants in general pretty juvenile and rough on the ear as a whole, even the famed ‘self deprecating humour’ in them is overblown. If you look at a ‘funny chants compilation’ for instance, you will find gems such as ‘we are going down, but straight back up’, ‘there’s only one Ed Woodward’, ‘she said no Fergie’, ‘you are nothing special, we lose every week’. Maybe understanding the language makes the chants lose their lusters, and they are universally just as unoriginal and juvenile, but I always enjoy the atmosphere of the BL or big Spanish/South American matches more.
It’s a point of pride for you then fair enough, but it’s just down to taste and I don’t think every statement I make on an online platform need to be preface with ‘IMO/from my POV’.
