Even if we lost tonight, he wasn't getting sacked before the City game lets be honest.
The only thing giving me hope in football terms right now is the tiniest sliver of hope that he’s going to be canned during the international break. If he comes back after that then I’m going to be truly resigned to him being here for the rest of the season, and honestly probably next season as well.

I’m resigned to him staying til the end of the season now. But I really fear for where we are by then.

Genuinely embarrassing that we have a team with Ronaldo, Cavani and Varane in it, and we have someone so far removed from what’s needed as a top coach at this level.

I think he is genuinely the worst coach currently working in the PL. He wouldn’t be managing any other team based on his CV.

This is not the way to run a football club.

Prepare to be gobsmacked. We have the most useless idiots running this club. It's genuinely painful to think about.
When they're putting out feelers for Rodgers who's a few results from being sacked himself, you know the club's in huge trouble.

It's a fecking miracle* that we are in such a good position in the CL.

Every single game has been an absolute fecking mess, we've played well for about 30 minutes combined across the 4 matches and yet we are on 7 points and basically one win away from getting through.

*Ronaldo is the miracle.

I say it everytime, listening to Ole interviews post match he just sounds like a TalkSport caller.

No meaningful analysis or insight. Just nebulous statements that mean nothing and purring over Ronaldo!

Pathetic manager.

Knowing the way Ole's term has gone on so far we'll beat City.

You lot do realise he's here for the season regardless. Those leaks after Liverpool were just to appease the fans, which is why Conte came out recently and stated there was no approach from United and since he's the only world class manager available right now idk who you expect to come in for him ?

Zidane ain't coming
Ten Hag is in Amsterdam
Poch is in Paris
Rodgers is at Leicester
Even Southgate won't leave before the world cup

Those are the managers we've been linked with, so don't get your hopes up. Accept that this season is done and move on.

I think he'll need to a point against City to keep his job. I don't agree with the above that Glazers only care about the scores United is a brand and ours is being damaged right now.

to be fair we always start arrogant&not concentrated and we always concede stupid goals and have to change our plan... if that is down to manager or the players I dont know

I sometimes wonder if the Glazers even watch the game. Maybe they don't understand football or they don't care about that at all. However surely they understand numbers. We used our last summer big name signing and this summer big name signing at the 87 minute. That's 120m worth of talent sitting on the bench for most of this crucial game. Meanwhile the 80m rated signing was making an utter fool of himself. How much money does this fraud need to throw in the bin before he's sacked?
Imagine being in a room with them watching a game of soccer ball.

Rodgers is miles better than Ole. And if nothing else, at least he would get us playing nice football to watch.

Is he not getting any credit for installing great character in the team? We have pulled that out the fire today after a bad mistake by DDG and then a real mess by Bailly/Maguire /DDG. That’s a massive point and places us in a good position

To be fair, ole made changes and his team came back twice. Almost scored the winner again.

I keep saying it but if we sacked him now the season is still salvageable.

Top 4 is close
FA Cup yet to start
Somehow we're one win away from getting through to the knockout rounds in the CL.

If we sacked Ole and got a good manager in we could still have a good season, look at Chelsea last year.

I absolutely agree that Ole has to go, but which available candidate will significantly improve this team?

Do we really think that Rodgers would make us a top-tier team competing with City, Liverpool and Chelsea?
We just let Conte go to Spurs.

That was our best chance at consistency for the rest of the season. We're now stuck with Ole and will be seeing such performances week in, week out for the foreseeable.

He really should have left the club by now. Spurs, Newcastle have acted much swifter and Villa are heading in that direction too.

I actually been around people like them. They are only interested in numbers and would translate everything to simply that. Which is why I am bewildered that Ole is still in a job. Surely one of the Glazers must have watched us enough to notice how much money Ole is throwing in the bin.

I agree without the right replacement to come, which looks unlikely mid season, it looks more and more like a end of season decision.

Let's just hope we can get to see some good goals, top four and another few champions league games after Christmas.

why so late? players need some minutes to be in the game makes no sense imo

Edit : I only have 3 post s so Ill edit...

Rash Decision:

Give LVG the likes of Bruno, Sancho, Donny, Varane etc. and I think the football would be better.

Me: I totally agree LVG has ten times the resumee as a manager hurts to say because I love Ole

largelyworried:

Ole gets credit for Ronaldos mentality?

sparx99:

Shouldn’t the character be on display earlier. How often do we have to go behind first? That’s crap character. It’s a failure to start on time. To be so arrogant to play below your best for 45-60 mins regularly.

Me:thanks , exactly my sentiments

LJTT

I see lots more negativity again if I didn’t know better I’d think it was an anti united forum. That’s a great point we got tonight, could be decisive in group stage progression. We top of the group, win Saturday and all is good. Draw or loss then everyone will lose their minds again and be drama queens. Eric Bailly played well tonight but played a part in both their goals. Make of that what you will!!

If it wasnt for Bailly we would have conceded 4 or 5.

United Hobbit
I agree with both of these. BT summed it up in one of the first comments they said at full time in that they could see no plan and we can't keep relying on Ronaldo to bail us out

Me: Its like going all in in poker every hand.. it might work but sooner or later you gonna fail!

Ronaldo talking about Atalanta after the game "We knew Atalanta will do a lot of pressure. They have a fantastic coach, they know what what to do all the time on the pitch (continued)" hmmm everything we don't have then....

ME: very telling freudian slip if you will basicly saying we DONT have a fantastic manager

PS: seriously Mods cant you see what kind of pain in the a§§ it is for newbies? I can see where you are coming from and why it is restriced but it is totaly ridiculous effort for a new member to join this forum
