I spent the first few months applying for every single managerial role possible. Constant rejections. We got to near Christmas and I seriously considered restarting the save as it was clearly pointless, but then a club gave me a chance!

I got an interview at Helmond Sport, who are 18th in the Dutch second division. I said all the right things and on Christmas Eve I was offered the job.

I'm just analysing the team now. I've had to hire a very cheap assistant manager as the club didn't have one. They've also funded a coaching course for me to get my National C Licence.

I started a save exactly the same last night. Couldn't get a club job but Demark u21's gave me a shot. Spent a year there, qualified them for the Euros and then Wexford gave a me a job in the Irish Premier Division.

Complete it with Hannibal starting in mid, he is quite op for young star in this game. Also you can get Nico, Gavi, Ilias from Barca for under 80mil for 3 of them if you offer quite early in the game. That midfield sorted for next 10 years.

Mandueke or something like that from Psv, and Kessie, don’t think i can do more the 1st season with 35 million of budget + the sales

I've gone for the create a club option. I usually start unemployed with no badges but thought I'd try this.

Seems quite a cool thing, pretty cool being able to change badges, create your kits etc.

A good way to make a long term save more personal.

My only issue with the game is even with nothing else running in the background and the 3D match engine working perfectly smooth I would like to go quicker. Since I'm in the lowest tier of English football I'm not getting bogged down into all the functions of training, preparation etc. I also don't have attributes showing so my transfers were based on scout reports rather than me spending a long time filtering through the player search.

Its still work for me. Also, sortitoutsi have updated kits for this year including United one.

Caved and bought it. Planned on not buying it this year.... last about a week
Started an unemployed save, continental pro license and then picked just national level of experience. Didn't get the Cardiff job, was laughed away from the Newcastle job who then hired Ten Hag, figured I'd apply for Ajax and they actually gave me a contract. Nice. Feels like a dream starting job.

Small database.

It says my game speed is 2 stars but I'm hoping as I progress and lose the need for the smaller divisions I can speed it up.

Would be nice if there was an option to apply for jobs anywhere in the world and only have the leagues activated as playable once you accept. Then you wouldn't have to bog down your game.

Playing without attributes is quite a fun challenge. It means I'm guaranteed to sign flops which is realistic. I always felt in the past with FM that once you get a few years in the AI transfers are rubbish while it is too easy for you to scoop up the best wonderkids early.

Told myself I wasn’t getting this game but I know I’ll cave. My only problem I have with it is my OCD with the graphics. Is there a pack out there for the United logo and the updated DF11 faces. I made my own on last years FM but would much prefer the correct ones.

So we're in April now with 3 games left of the season. I've got us to the cusp of the Playoffs but I'm not sure if we'll make it. We've definitely overachieved and two of my key players have just gotten long term injuries.

The squad is pretty weak but has some high potential youngsters. Had a few things to sort when I first arrived though. The club had 7 right wingers. 4 of them in on loan!

Yeah, I've got logo/faces and real name fix. Not sure how I'd go about sending them though but I'll have a look for you.

Yeah I get a bit OCD about the scouting and staff (even the u18 coaching/medical staff!) So in 2 days I've only played two friendlies hoping once the transfer window is over things will speed up!

They should introduce an agent you can hire for yourself (a way to use the money you earn). The agent can filter managers offers and help you find a role. Sometimes I have no idea what level I'm at in terms of clubs wanting me until I apply for the job, but it can upset my current club.

Is there a way to see a Pass Map as an average for the season or is it only the previous game?

Only previous game, wouldn't work over a season. Pass maps are player to player related, not position to position, so if you play a player at LW for one half and swap to the RW on the other, their map will be in the middle of the pitch.

The fun part of FM is always building the squad, which you pretty much don't have to do with the current one! I started one, played 2 games and switched to an unemployed start save. Too easy this year with our squad, Ronaldo, Sancho, rashford or Greenwood, Bruno, pogba, varane, etc. No satisfaction in taking over United at the start. End goal of taking over United eventually in my unemployed starting save for sure though!

You usually get some sort of red/amber/green indicator for stats, so if a player has green for acceleration then you know he’s quick. But not precisely how quick which is pretty realistic.

After a while I've got a feel of players strengths and weaknesses by just playing games (3D), their stats, checking the coaching reports and attributes being visible when signed. There is a player I signed on a recommendation who I regretted because now he is in my squad and I can compare with players I already had he is really not worthwhile. But it makes the game more fun for me because being in non league there isn't really a big gulf between a team expected to get promoted vs a team expected to battle at the bottom that can't be rectified by a good signing, a run of form and momentum.

I lost my first three games with Brackley Town, drew the next two and finally won my first game at the sixth attempt. The player I was talking about is a central midfielder who barely plays but another signing I made to play up front has four so far so that looks like a good bit of scouting.

I believe you can only use it when starting a new save. There is a box to uncheck to disable attributes when picking countries and leagues.

Started a new save with Sunderland. I was literally about to post in here earlier to say how easy it was - hadn't lost in the first 20 games in all comps and now I've got 1 win in 7. The wheels have well and truly fallen off
