After hours of going back and forth I finally did Kane->Ronaldo. If he can't get points in this run, no one can. Believe in the GOAT.

Need to fit Foden into this somehow.

Ramsdale Foster
TAA Cancelo James Alonso Livramento
Salah Jota Bernardo Gallagher Brownhill
Ronaldo Antonio Hwang

Any ideas?
Maybe you could do something like:

Antonio -> King
Gallagher -> Foden

Or Antonio -> Origi
Brownhill -> Foden

2 free transfers and thinking of doing Cornet and Wilson to Mount and Dennis. Wilson worked out well for a 2 week punt and will be sad to let him go but have to get Mount in. I know Kane sucks and I have 2 free transfers but not sure taking a minus 4 for him to get Ronaldo in is good play. Thoughts?

Whats the rest of your midfield? I think Mount will do well when he plays but expect to see him lose minutes to the likes of CHO/Pulisic/Ziyech/Werner.
Salah, Jota, Son, Foden and Bernardo are definately more appealing to me, and arguably Bowen, Gallagher, Raphinha and ESR aswell for more guarantee of minutes and being cheaper

If I get Mount and Dennis my team would be :

Sanchez
TAA James Cancelo
Jota Mount ESM Salah Maddison
Kane Dennis

Steele White Livramento Gelhardt

Mount always plays if injury free. He will get some rotation over xmas but no more than anyone else. City midfielders are always the bain of my fpl so no problem avoiding them.

Interested to see how people vote here. I have two FTs, which of the following appeals?
A) Kane to Ronaldo and roll 1 FT;
B) Kane, Mbeumo, Toney to Ronaldo, Bernardo and 4.4 forward
C) Kane, Mbeumo, Brownhill to King, Foden and Bernardo;
D) Mbeumo, Toney to Bernardo and 4.4 forward, keeping Kane

If Ronaldo rises, I’m getting priced out of option A tonight.

If Ronaldo and Bernardo rise, I’m getting priced out of option B.

Option C isn’t a goer if Toney is out for 2 GWs, especially with Reg and Alonso on the bench.

Think I might just do Kane to Ronaldo now, especially as stories are breaking that Spurs have a big COVID outbreak, and then wait on further transfers. I would still be able to complete Option B later on this week.

Thankfully I don’t have any Brighton or Leicester players, who are Spurs next two opponents, if those games were to become doubts to go ahead. Surely the Liverpool game wouldn’t be affected, but it is still less than two weeks away.

I’m now debating Alonso, ESR > Davies/Dalot, Bowen... best wait for injury news

Kane + Raphinha to Ronaldo + Bowen seems so template but I really can't think of better moves to make atm. Obvious moves are obvious.
I was going to do this but Toney that dumb feck started licking poles out in the streets.

Ha, and even less in the top 10k. Assumed he'd be way higher based on FPL bubble chatter.
Yeah he's high on FPL Twitter ownership. But he's a pretty solid pick. Think only Salah and Mane have had better underlying stats since a long period now. Everyone should have at least one WHU attacker for next three GWs.

I really want to swap Raphinha for him but with other fires to put out, it might have to wait :(

Did Kane to Ronaldo last night, but it wasn’t necessary as the prices didn’t change. Will think about a hit for a City mid or defender later in the week, subject to the news about Reguilón and the Spurs camp.

Yep. I sold Antonio weeks ago on the basis that Bowen would be a good alternative pick when these fixtures came around and would possibly be less likely to see his minutes managed over Christmas too.

Tempted to put Sancho in for Gallagher as a differential...

I thought the same on the basis that it would be fun to have an extra United attacker for our excellent fixtures and Sancho will play a lot of minutes, you'd think.

But being realistic, is he worth the 0.8m over Foden, 1.4m over Bernardo, 1.6m over Gundogan, 2.5m over Bowen, etc.? I'd need to actually see more from him first. Plus Rangnick has made it pretty clear that clean sheets are the immediate priority.

I got 2.4m in the bank though, and was planning on moving ASM to King anyway. That will leave me with almost enough to do Sanchez, Gallagher and ASM to De Gea, Sancho and King.. 0.1m short. I'm sure I can find it somewhere (e.g Toney to Benteke), but I won't be able to upgrade Livramento to Cucurella as planned. So getting Sancho does come with compromises. My initial goal was to end up with:

De Gea / Foster
TAA / Rudiger / Cancelo / Reguilon / Cucurella
Salah / Foden / Jota / Gallagher / Bowen
Watkins / King / Benteke

With 2.3m in the bank to do upgrades in line with players form.

Looked this morning and he's 98%, so you wouldn't have got away with waiting until post YB game. So makes sense to get it done safely.

He was at 102% or 103% on fplstatistics, so surprised he didn’t rise. He might not actually rise tonight now unless there is firm news about Spurs and Kane to push people.

Hopefully there’s a lull, so Bernardo, Locadia, King and Dennis don’t move up until later in the week either.

Any particular reason you want to go up to Cucurella? They don't have particularly amazing fixtures, most of their defence is flagged atm and it seems like you're fairly well set in terms of squad depth.

Best 4.5 or under mid to have? Brownhill or someone else?
I'd chance Billy Gilmour

I was going to ask this question too. I think the likes of Dalot, Davies, White and Lamptey could be potentially better picks and save 0.5-0.6m

Really need to know if Son is gonna be out with COVID. Would be 2 PL games missed at least.

Was going to do:
Raphinha + Jimenez > Bernardo/Foden + Watkins.

If Son is out will instead do:
Son + Jimenez > Bernardo + Ronaldo.

Probably wont find out till Spurs' game in Europe on Thursday night.
I want to wait till then before deciding what to do. The annoying thing is that Bernardo and Ronaldo look like rising 0.2 between them by then.
Wont price me out of the transfers but its 0.2m.

Dennis vs. King?
I went Dennis a couple of games ago and he's been outscoring King. 3 goals and 3 assists in last 4 games.
Only thing is that King is on penalties and I think Dennis may go to AFCON in January. But Dennis has been good for me.

The greatest team in history
I've gone King. I don't want to deal with too many Afcon players in January.

Waiting on Smith Rowe news this week. If he's injured I'll take a -4 and bring in Bowen early.

Nope. Foden for me if he's fit and starting in the Salah stratosphere in terms of the sheer volume of big chances involvement. And he plays in a far more potent team who are gonna play fodder for a few weeks. The only question for you should be his starting place, if you are confident of that then he's the second most important mid after Salah for me.

Dennis vs. King?
This is one for the feck xG brigade - Dennis has been massively overperforming his underlying stats meanwhile King has far better stats. Main factors for these two are:

- King is on pens and has better predictive stats
- Dennis has been a bit talismanic on the pitch and keeps up putting actual numbers
- Dennis will be off for AFCON
- King will be nailed during AFCON but on the flipside, without Dennis and Sarr, their attacking threat will go down.

Overall my pick is King but I fear Dennis is gonna continue defying the stats given his form, so if you are ok to take him out during AFCON then it's a fair gamble.
