I thought I spoke English until I listened to Longstaff talking.

We just seem so nervy and jittery. Varane has won Champions League trophies and looked terrified. Likes of Bruno, Rashford, Sancho and even Ronaldo look like they are constantly on the edge, trying too hard, overplaying, making poor decisions and basic mistakes.

For me, there isn't just one problem, but the fact we don't have anybody in CM who we can "put the ball in the bank" with is a big part of the problem. If you look at top sides, they have a Jorginho, a Rodri or a Henderson/Thiago who always show for the ball and very rarely give it away. We don't have that, every time we have the ball you see the panic in the eyes of the player with the ball as they realise they have no options infront of them.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Ole didn't actually come in and sort out the toxicity and bad attitudes in the club. Too many egos, pointing fingers.
Agree with that. Inclined to think he pandered to them. I am hoping they have met their match in Ralf, he will not be liking this sort of whinging and whining.

Our midfield now is genuinely one of the worst in the league and that is no overreaction. Simply no technical ability, composure, leadership or intelligence. Just donkey, frantic, cowardly and brainless shite.

Two weeks of resting and training just to come up with this, so pathetic.
Just as usual, I enjoyed all boxing day games, beside our own.
Where is the new formation? The pressing? The tactics and gameplan? It’s just 11 individuals running around confused, making errors and can’t manage to transform their multi million pound salary into performance on the pitch.

Look at what Conte is doing with that spurs team
Conte’s first few games didn’t set the world alight either

Even if they did….it’s still 3 league games. It’s 7 points out if 9 and 1 conceded

Relax ffs

Watching the post-game on Sky. Must have missed the part where Newcastle lifted the champions league trophy, but the coverage is making up for it.

This is much deeper than just saying it's midfield. Sancho was the hottest player in Europe and he is a shadow of himself. Nearly ever player is the polar opposite to why they were signed....

Norwich were good too weren't they ? They then got pulled apart by every other team since.

Same with watford.

I shit you not the Caf XI would have a chance to get a result against this team.
Personally, I think it's us who are making these teams look better than they actually are.

It is sad how much the atmosphere has changed for the worse since the reverse fixture, which was Ronaldo's second debut.

In one of his first interviews, he talked about winning the Premier League and the Champions League. I wonder if that was a PR statement or he really had no idea what he was walking into.

Very poor second half, even worse first half.

Passing was terrible but worse was how easily they nicked the ball off of us.

Wow that was as bad as we’ve been. Completely outplayed by Newcastle and lucky to get a point. Our biggest problems today were:

1. Varane rusty and out of sorts. At fault for the first goal and no confidence playing out which he largely left to Maguire

2. No confident ball player in midfield to come and demand the ball of the centre backs and find forward passes. So instead we had Maguire smashing the ball here there and everywhere

3. Bruno’s impatience on the ball. In the second half he started to take the initiative more and came deep to get on the ball. But too often he goes for the key pass too early and we lose possession. He did create a couple of opportunities with those passes but we failed to sustain attacks

4. Poor form in attack. Rashford sloppy as hell. Sancho just as bad when he came on. Cavani movement sharp as always but should have had at least one more goal.

Thank f for De Gea.

It felt like net 10 minutes of football. And 8 of those were wasted by giving Maguire the ball.

I‘m disappointed in general, but watching Maguire hold onto the ball without any sign of purpose, urgency or drive is frustrating.

And on a petty side note: why do so many vile Newcastle supporters look like they have mullets without the party at the back?

We have had a bit of a touch getting Sancho this year and not the 100m plus he would of cost last year. He is a 30m player tops - squad player at best.

Maguire makes William Prunier look like the 80m defender, seriously bad and as for the new Kleberson and Diemba Djemba in Fraud and McTominay - how are they still at United - they would struggle to get in a team like Barnsely or Lincoln they are that bad.

It's clearly not the managers faults now- these players are really really bad. Overpaid and just using the club as a cash cow.

Only Ronaldo, Bruno and De Gea actually look like they care, every single other starter has regularly proven to be utter tripe for long enough now. Sell them all

We just need to give the ball to Maguire more and ask him to play a little bit slower.

Awful. Point gained with how bad that was.

Proper bored of watching performances like that. We're disgraceful technically for a team of our stature.

Just don’t get how Piss Poor we are, we basically were over an and out fought by a team that are bottom of the league.

Cavani must start he’s the only player we have at present with any passion or fight!

Rashford……Don’t get me started!

A disgrace of a performance.
4222 looks trash or whatever the hell that was suppose to be.
Players totally out of form starting games again and again while playing out of positions as well.
Not good enough by RR and the players, massive improvment needed to get top 4.
fecking terrible

Cannot believe how bad that was again. We could look at covid disruptions and the fact that Newcastle are a game raising bunch...

..but the inability to control a ball, pass to a team mate and general decision making was atrocious.
Body language of a few senior players was very poor.

The full backs are both awful, Maguire looked so poor defensively and spent an age on the ball.. Varane looked rusty and nervous..

We had zero midfield... no link between attack and defence...no control..Bruno put in a real shift but was so wasteful.

RONALDO starved of service and generally shite when he did have it, and the less said about show pony rashfood the better.

Its just baffling how tumescent we have become...I dont like this bunch of players. Ralf has massive job

I'm putting tonight down to a few things,

New manager, with new ideas, formations and way of playing. Probably completely Alien to what Ole was doing. Complete new coaching set up

Add in 16 days from the last match, who knows how much time they have had on the training pitch properly since RR came in.

When RR has a very defined way of playing, which is high press, high intensity, defence to attack in shortest possible time, no wonder our attacks were not fluid and looked rushed.

Dunno why people bitch and moan, everything post SAF is reflection of this fan base, how summer transfer windows are rated, top 4 this top 4 that, just to attract so called world class players so they can be still on massive wages. Wont even mention how people turn weird when it comes to managers.

Imagine you being a manager and you drop a 80mil. oil tanker, the feck you gonna do with him after. When we need to get rid of players, we are scared that they might turn great in other clubs, because there is no trust in our player development through football, so what we do instead, we offer them new contracts that are on double or triple of true value.

Regarding game, it was piss poor performance wise, dunno why some players are force in out of position places but thats RR problem, dunno how many hours of training he had with them so far but hope he just flips off one day and bench half of them soon.

I’m beginning to think 4222 is a busted flush, it’s not novel in this league, other managers have already played it to death like Hassenhutl. It’s just too easy to defend against with our full backs. He needs to find a way to create those overloads whilst not relying on Dalot and Telles to provide our wing threat.

I watched the game tonight - a ponderous performance
Rashford a shadow of the player he was
Ronaldo also poison, whingeing blaming teammates etc etc. Maguire was fecking useless
You need to get rid of deadwood and build on youth - it’ll work out in the long run

Joelinton, Shelvey & Longstaff dominated our midfield when they had too that says it all really.

Shocking team cohesion and the usual abysmal passing display from everyone. We can’t do the basics at all.
It doesnt help when they outnumber our 2. Rangnick probably thought McFred would cover enough ground but the running around those two was poor - IE Rashford/Bruno would not get back to cover the ground left vacant.
