Warsaw...that's too far away from Edinburgh...
We really need to buy a new good defensive midfielder. Matic has the brain but doesn't have the legs for 90'.

What amazed me the most in this game is how Luiz didn't get a yellow. The ref was too weak imo.

Anyway Elanga looked good and I'm happy Bruno scored again despite playing pretty deep. Greenwood played generally well but he'd need to be better with his finishing.
[/QUOTE

its not about players, its the stupid formation. Both goals came from overloding wide area where we have only a full back

Really was a brutal result. Yes our midfield is woeful, but the lack of subs was baffling. That game should never ever have been thrown away like that.

Not even mad anymore. I'm pretty accepting accepting now that we've become a midtable team

Have we improved at all since Mourinho left ? Way too many mixed performances.

When they play well you think we're turning a corner and then they go back to sideways and backward passes.

When will the fans demand more? We need to DRIVE our scum owners out of this club. NOTHING will EVER improve until these inept, corrupt carnies bugger off.
You’re right! The protests need to be kept going until they either get the team where it should be or feck off.
They keep leaving us at least one short every transfer window and we all know how much they hesitate before getting things done.

Some promising stuff, but again a complete implosion.

It was clear we needed fresh legs and some response to Villa's changes, but nothing came until it was too late. Terrible game management.

They should have been down to 10 men. How does the referee who was less than 10 yards away, and VAR, miss the stamp on the back of Bruno's leg? After all the twaddle from the media about VAR supposedly being on our side in the FA Cup game, I assume it will be radio silence after today.

Though none of that excuses that we can't string 3 passes together whilst they ping the ball around us like a training session. We are just awful. No idea what Rangnick is doing with this team on a tactical front, but there is no visibe improvement in the way we play. We're 11 strangers out there.

The glazers won’t spend the money mate.
And a lot of what they have spent has been pissed up the wall. It's January 15th and nobody has left the club and it's odds on nobody will be coming in. Ralf will have do the best he can with what he's got.

Well the only positive is that at least Maguire, Rashford and McT’s player performance threads won’t be active today.

RR was totally complicit in our coasting. Someone needed to get on the players for playing like the game was over, instead he made changes to enable it.

Ralf was lucky that wasn't at old Trafford, can you imagine the crowd when he made those two subs.

Elanga looked really promising and the first 30 minutes was the best since the Palace game. Not all doom and gloom.
i agree. If you had said to me beforehand that we will play pretty well (much better than last monday) and draw, i would have taken it.

Now really we should have won. But i feel better today than i did on monday even though we won on monday.

Same. Trying to be positive as that first half performance was good. Think we just really tired out in the last 35 mins.

I am almost beginning to think, if we cannot get Top 4 I would rather be out of Europe altogether. Lose the prima donna's who only want CL football (it is actually your fault if we don't get it by the way). Get new manager in and actually build a team. You wonder what the situation with Poch would be? He supposedly wants to come back because of his family, the board want him it appears, no matter if Ralf suggests someone else. It would depend if he wants to build a new team.

Can somebody seriously explain what happened there?
Legs.

When Matic had the legs we played well and controlled the game. As the game went on he started to lose his legs and we lost our control. Our players also seemed knackered toward the end of the game. They probably haven't adapted to this pressing game yet, understandably. This remind me of Liverpool in Klopp first season.

Of course we'd be disappointed as we blew away the two points. But for me I've seen lot of positive things in this game. We'll be able to control and play the modern game if we can keep the intensity and shape of that first 25' in 90'. Eventually we'll be able imo but it'll be a long way until we get there. It won't happen over night and we'd absolutely need a new defensive midfielder first.

He’s lucky we haven’t played one of the league’s big teams. We’re getting our asses handed to us by shit to average teams.

Don't know how to feel about the game. RR was brave with his selection and it worked, we were great for large parts of the game. RR then showed his lack of experience in the league by not making subs at 2-0 and shutting up shop. He thought this was like Germany where 2 up the other team calls it quits against the best teams.

I hope we stick with Elanga, and the CB pair for the next game. Only players I want to come in are Ronnie and Shaw.

Someone has to explain to me how defenders do not defend with their lives even with a 2-0 lead. This is supposed to be about your own fecking pride here.

Garbage. First 30 min was promising, then we fell apart. Lucky to get a point, actually. Bruno’s first never should have gone in.

We have to buy a new midfielder in this window. We need something to give us a jumpstart. Fred and Matic, how awful were they? Matic too old, only good for 45 min, Fred giving the ball away constantly.

Ralf… it isn’t working.

I think managers are thinking ahead to the next game, instead of making sure you win the present game first.

Even at 2-0 up with less then 15 min to go, my thoughts were around how Utd were going to end up fecking this game! True to form they delivered, and that's the most galling thing...I expect nothing from this team anymore.

You look at how Arsenal's ten men got stuck in against Liverpool. We used to do that, City today. You make sure there are no gaps, you stay organised, you block everything you can block. We wilt under pressure, that is a mental problem.

This is the bit that rages me so much. Club reckons we have no money to spend. It’s like we have forgot we can sell players to raise funds. Why is Lingard here? Donny if he won’t get minutes. Henderson doesn’t play over Heaton. Martial wants to leave. Selling those 3 of those 4 makes £50m at least. We are a shambles because the hierarchy have no fecking clue how to run a football club.

Same thing every time the midfield is so poor

Got overran in the last 20 minutes we needed to make a change

We don't build though, we buy a player that does not fit into the team in any shape or form. We say we need a CB, a striker and a midfielder, but then only buy two of them and leave the midfield all over the place season after season. There is no planning in the managers we choose or the players.
