I saw some quotes in Mejbri's performance thread from Rangnick but did not see them here. Was he mentioned in the press conference?

No but Martial is a lazy sod who can’t be arsed putting in an effort and as for Lingard , putting a picture of himself up on social media in a different clubs jersey that would also help drive home the fact he wants to play for us?
Honestly, I doubt anyone earns a place in the team based on what they do - or don´t - on sosial media.

I appreciate the standards he's trying to bring back but Rangnick needs to reconsider his direct approach. Social media will mob these players, the fanbase is huge. I do understand if he's annoyed by players taking time but If they are being toxic don't send even more toxic idiots at them.
None of these players have a future here. He is weeding them out. If he started mouthing off about Bruno or Ronaldo it might be a problem, but somehow I doubt they would give him reason to.

Idk about all the social media mobbing the players talk. If you look at the replies to Lingards tweet they're against the manager for 'lying' more than mobbing Lingard.

Also, let's be honest, you're getting paid 100k+ a week and playing for Manchester United if you can't handle getting criticism or 'mobbed' on social media you've chosen the wrong profession. Should've been a gardener.

Ralf speaks the truth and I for one love him for it. He's not even being a cnt about it. He is just saying it as it is. The players will now know that if they are arseholes then he wont lie for them. It brings culpability and standards back to the club. If you want to ring up and say you need a couple more days holiday after your holiday. Ok fair enough. He will let you have time off and even welcome you back to training with no hatred towards you. But he wont lie for you and if you are not professional or putting in the effort in training then you dont play. End of. Simple really.

His United career is going nowhere and it's been this way for eons yet some supporters like yourself are deluding yourselves by hanging on to this notion that he might yet resurrect it. He's not even in the managers plans when fit.

We have fringe players begging to be loaned out for minutes at any decent club that will take them and then you have Jones of all people rejecting offers because he thinks he has a right to play for United or a right to demand guarantees for minutes elsewhere. Lingard and VDB have families too, but they have careers to think about. This is part and parcel of the game, moving on and doing what's best for your career. Jones is comfortable at United.

A loan would probably do both him and his family good, even if he didn't get minutes. But no, let's hold on to the hope that he finally gets over his career long fitness issues and finally fulfills his promise after 12 long years at the club
Agreed. Mods think themselves the moral guardians of this site, closing threads etc.

What’s the point, for a man with a young family, to take a pay cut, move to another country, to sit on a bench there? If I were him I’d have stayed too, not because it’s “cushy” it’s because he’d have to be a moron to go the other way.

Also notable in your other examples is that VDB specifically chose the loan option where he doesn’t have to move house (and will probably still be sat on the bench) and by Ralfs own statement, Jesse up to Newcastle showing interest had shown no interest in leaving this window.

Literally nobody has any notion that Jones is going to be the player he looked as a teenager, they see him as a decent squad option (because we all know what he is capable of when he is fit) who himself knows that the club has shown him loyalty during the roughest of times, and as a result will always give his all, on top of filling a homegrown slot. What’s the downside to having him in the squad?
Sounded like a nice 6 month move to me I dont think he's that adventurous though. In 'touching the void' he could've stayed in the glacier, but he needed to go down to come up again..

A must watch by the way

Nothing in this post is more than the opinion of someone parroting Howson's nonsense.

I am not here to defend him but some of the 'opinions' on his arguments are laughable. Proper pathetic.
Hi Mark.

Your channel is utter garbage btw.

Exactly. The real cultural reboot we've needed.

Ralf strikes again

So when advised to take time off, after your holiday, why not be professional, give 100%, and tell them your headspace is clear and you don't need more time off

That's the hope I have for him. That he manages to change the culture so player power diminishes. Whether that can really work given the ownership is an open question. And like others have said, if there's a new manager this summer, I want Rangnick to have a clear mandate, not some nebulous consultancy role.

How bad are these journalists? Just watched both parts of the presser and literally 75% of the questions were about two players leaving in the summer. (Other 25% about Greenwood)

Nothing at all insightful about tactics, young players coming through, progress, upcoming months etc barring the one question from Andy Mitten!

I don’t watch Howson either, so no idea what you’re on about. But at least I know he’s a match going genuine fan, not someone linking himself to the club to make a living. Seems your not defending him looks exactly like someone who’s defending the awful little moaner.

I just wish the club would make a statement saying Ralf will move upstairs after his interim period. That would clear up a lot of confusion and help cement his position and give him much more power as an interim manager so that players would know if I don't work hard for him, he can still have an influence on my career. To be fair though, Ralf doesn't seem too bothered. Handling himself exemplarily. Very impressed. Just want to see that same level of quality mirrored on the pitch. Pogba coming back should hopefully help.

Exactly. So sick of players talking like that. I hope Hannibal comes in and performs great and JLingz never needs to play again. His choice. His mistake.

Instead, RR must learn that he cannot sit in pressers and just give away whatever is in his head, line-ups or tactics or what ever. It´s the second time now that a player comes out dismissing things he´s said, which suggest it would be better for everyone if he just shut his mouth.
Or the player can't shut his mouth too no? There must be a hierarchy and Lingard is way far from the top of it.

I love how honest Ralf is.

The guy is too old and has experience too much to be messed around by these guys. A lesson for his successor.

It's pretty easy to see why, really. It's the same as when Martial did it:
Because Rangnick's statements in his press conferences, however innocuous they are meant, trigger hateful tirades from foaming and unhinged Man United fans directed at the players. Just take a look at the posts in this very thread answering those comments.
These players notice when they're bombarded with abuse after a press conference, and they react to defend themselves.
And it's so blatantly obvious as well.

No room for these players to hide, which is what the club needs.
It almost as if the job becomes easier when you don't have an emotional connection to the players/club in the past. Who would have thought of that?

Remember the time when Fergie announced out of nowhere that Wayne Rooney submitted a transfer request causing Rooney to go into damage protection with the fans? Yea the great man did this too.

It's about how much you really want to play for Man Utd. Under SAF, all players are willing to walk through the brick wall for him. Cancel holidays, playing through the pain, playing in the midst of injury and willingly do extended training hours themselves.

Even if the club advised Lingard to take off, he should have rejected it as he said himself that his headspace is clear and he is ready. Then why the feck he accepted the off days? He has the chance to play 90 mins against Boro.

He and Martial are exactly why we are not a serious club anymore. Excuses after excuses and performed poorly on the pitch. But when come to holidays and parties they are always doing very well.

Well they do follow Lingard so I would expect a bias, happy to hear he's being called out.

It is understood that sources close to Rangnick have said that if sources close to Lingard or Jesse Lingard himself ever tweet anything like this one more time, Lingard will not make any playing squad for the remainder of his expiring contract.

I dont mean to be pedantic but if his headspace is clear that means he doesnt have a brain.

I for one love it. I agree, unlike Mourinho, there is no animosity what so ever. Accountability, is something missing from our club. He is like a better version of LVG in that regards.

Why would the club advise Lingard to take the time off? And tell him it’s for his personal reasons? Makes no sense.

I hope Rashford isn’t persuaded against the manager by the fisherman rapper.

I havent tracked the story so well so what is it. Lingard wanted to go, club stopped the move cause of Greenwood situation or cause not agreeing with a club who wanted him, then he was apparently asked to take time of but Lingard says it isnt so?
