I've noticed he does this one specific thing every game now - at one point in the game he decides to run full speed almost the whole length of the pitch chasing the ball to the opposition's goalkeeper, all for nothing. Then it's like "I'm done for the night, guys". And checks out.

I think there's more to it than bad form. He looks like he has serious problems.
This too. His attitude stinks. So much for "local lad" huh. Played like he cant be bothered to do so. Since everybody blew smoke up his arse he got a big head and felt above doing the hard work. His PR shit needs to stop too

His attitude was so good the first few seasons. As good as you'll see from a young player. It's insane how much it's changed.

Even when he does work hard, you can see it being a conscious decision to do so rather than instinctive.

He’s done. He’s been off the boil for so long - I can’t see him turning it around.

The problem we have is this club will never sell rashford and that even includes some club giving us stupid money for him. He's one of the faces of the club and this club isn't run by football people, but by someone who looks for social media clicks.

Honestly might be time to consider cashing in.

I can't believe how bad he's gotten.

Go back 2 years ago and he was a vastly better footballer.

I dont know how a players level can drop so much in just a year, I dont remember him having one single great game this season. Its poor performance after poor performance, seems he lost all the ability and its just a pace merchant nowadays.

RAHFORD CANNOT:
1. HOLD THE BALL
2. RUN WITH THE BALL
3. BEAT THE DEFENDER 1V1
4. CROSS THE BALL
5. PASS IT FORWARD

WHY IS HE STILL HERE ?

He's done at United isn't he? :( Not that I think it's his last match for us but that I now have lost completely faith in him ever being able to be worthy of a consistant starting spot for us again.

I just don’t get it. Poor form (or just not that good) is one thing. But at least run around a bit. Pretend you care about your childhood team!

Yep. He usually do this at the start of the game and today included with that run you mentioned

Hands down, likely the worst string of performances in a man utd shirt in my 30 years as a fan.

It's also the first time I can genuinely state that we would have been better off with 10 men.

It's criminal to play Rashford now, let alone start him. Anyone of our youngsters could fill that position better, because he literally do everything wrong.

Surprised he started. Terrible performance as expected. Playing with no confidence. Took on a ridiculous shot from miles out. A complete waste of time.

When an obvious pass is on, he shoots. When the shot is on he passes to the opposite player!! Think he should just do the exact opposite of what his instinct is. Might get it right.

Should we be worried now? Is it just bad form?

For me, as unpopular as it might be, Ole indulged him far too much and it hurt his development. Maybe a better manager can give him a boost and put him back on the track, though that does unlikely at the moment.

Would you guys take an offer from PSG if it comes in? I think at the moment I would. But it's hard since it's Rashford

It’s crazy to think we spoke about him beating rooneys records and spoke about him in such high esteem. His performances have literally fallen so far it’s almost unexplainable.

It’s his body language and attitude which are the worst for me. He looks utterly fed up.

Most probably yes. Bad form and a complete lack of confidence. The beauty of being an attacking player is that sometimes a couple of goals can turn it all around.

I can't tell if he is just miserable and sulking or whether he has just downed tools because he is not the top dog anymore such is his ego and arrogance.

I dont know where he goes from here...

I don't know what to say really about such a terrible performance, I kinda have already given up on him already.

it's really heartbreaking to see him become a nothing player.

Seems to have lost his appetite for the game. It's been a while now with these dragging on the floor protest style performances. Perhaps he can shed some light on what it is? Is he upset about the dynamics at the club with Marital going, not given a chance in his eyes, treatment of his friend Lingard, arrival of Ronaldo. He really should be revelling in this situation with his other friend Sancho. Could he be overly worried about damaging his surgery

Does he think there's more important things than kicking a bag of wind around and wants to join politics to make a difference?

Time for Rangnick to bench him for a long, long time. Pointless saying stuff like this if you keep starting him though.

he looks depressed on the pitch, and his confidence is shot

I fear his injuries have caught up with him

did we cause this by playing him too much and playing him with injuries?

Exactly my thoughts. He really was one of my favourite players, but I mentioned this in another thread too: attitude of David Beckham, ability of David Bentley.

I think he’s finished here to be honest, and I hate writing players off prematurely. His prime came pre-back injury.

People really need to stop looking for reasons and excuses or pretending this is somehow unexplainable.

Players who look potential world beaters in their teens and early 20s that fade into insignificance as the years roll by is the most common thing in the world of football and it’s simply happened again

That was one of the worst performances I've ever seen in our shirt, and it's getting to be a regular thing with him.

Another poor performance. He'll get another chance under new manager next season but it really is a question if he can fix his issues. If now, expect us to get rid of him in 2023.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
He needs to be dropped to just a squad player for a while. Make him fight for his spot and maybe it'll reignite his hunger.

Two years ago he looked on the verge of stepping up to world class level, but he just hasn't looked remotely the same since that back injury. I don't know if it's the back injury himself that has had an impact on him or whether it's a mental thing (once again possibly related to the back injury or perhaps completely unrelated), but the difference has been so obvious. For most of last season he was managing to still get a good amount of goals and assists which seemed to blind some people to the obvious deterioration in his game, but long-term it was never going to last. He either needed to start playing better, or the end product was going to dry up. Unfortunately it been the latter.

he also makes all the wrong decisions. There was a moment in the first half when he chose to dribble into 4-5 defenders and lose the ball instead of passing it across the pitch where it’s less crowded. I’m afraid Marcus peaked too soon. The whole team isnt playing well, but marcus is at another level

Not into locations = will not dwell
The problem tonight for me was that he looked like he did care. He was constantly chasing balls that he lost due to poor control or bad decision-making.

6/10 for effort but woeful play generally.

Rashford, despite having the physical talent to excel at the highest level, is thick as pigshit footballing IQ-wise. I think this much is clear. But most worrying is that he seems to have lost interest in football.

A complete waste of time and space on current form.

A simple pass to the other end of the penalty box would have taken out half of athleticos team but then again rashford thought he could dribble past half the team.

Im surprised ronaldo hasn't physically gotten hold of them in the dressing room, imagine rashford doing these antics with keane and saf looking on!
