United is a big job yes, but it’s certainly not an attractive one right now. And we’re arguably in a worse position now then we were 30 odd years ago.
We were worse. Much worse. Seriously, if any of the oldies wanna chip in to offer perspective?

Anyways, mate. Today is about positivity and the hope that ten Hag has the ego and the skills to back up the bravery he has shown taking the challenge of fixing United. just as Ferguson did all those years ago.

Hagy? Teny? Ten Hagy? Nah they don’t work.
Well round here, we call this here, a little Tenny Ten Ten *something something I can't quite remember*

props to anyone that gets the ref.

Seems nuts they’d okay Mitchell van der Gaag but not Steve McClaren. I was anticipating something of the opposite.

No idea whether the resistance is actually just ironing out some small details though, and it’s leaked that way.

Here’s hoping. And yeah it certainly shows he’s got some bottle and confidence in himself.

One thing seems clear, I don't think any player is currently safe from the ire of supporters at the moment. If there is even a whiff of dissent when ETH starts like there has been with Ralf e.g. questioning his credentials and tactics, and the results / performances don't come as readily as some would like, it could get pretty nasty pretty quickly.

Its all Ole fault if he cant motivate the players. That's the excuse for everything from now on.
Jokes aside, no player should be motivated by a coach to play for this club. The pressure and culture must run deeper, sadly it's not the case.

Welcome to Erik, I hope he justifies everyone expectations and sorts this mess out.

Hope we get some weird form of distant new manager bounce for the last 5 games and clean up everyone else

Jesus, look at van de Beek here.

Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has previously described Donny van de Beek's lack of progress at Manchester United as a "mortal sin," amid United's interest in him becoming the club's next manager.
Ok, we have one player set and ready to go!

McClaren had a meteoric rise let’s not forget. He went from being Derby No.2 to Man Utd No.2 winning absolutely everything to Boro manager in the space of about 3 years or so?

Hes definitely plateaued after that but he’s still respected and experienced, regardless of being the Wally with the Brolly for England.

Good luck to him and he'll need plenty of it too. He needs to be given the autonomy to get rid of any player who doesn't fit his plans moving forward.

I think it's very attractive.

United have been poorly coached and expectations are rock bottom.

If you really believe in your coaching ability you should consider it pretty easy to eclipse a failed Cardiff manager and a part time coach.

He'll get time build something as long as performances and results aren't terrible and show signs of progress.

30 years ago we were challenging for the title with some amazing players. As proved, we were only missing the catalyst. Now, we miss 5-6 players. If it's 40, that's another discussion..

Wasn’t there a photo supposedly of him the other day at his agent headquarters? Maybe they went and snapped this photo as this doesn’t look like a photoshop job.
Clever by the media department. We are clearly in distress.

Great news this is done and dusted. Hopefully gives the players a much needed boost.

Wound also be fantastic if McLaren came in as support staff

Would've preferred Enrique or Mancini, but we could've done a lot worse.

Hope this is a new chapter in the history of the club.

Despite the doom and gloom I think it's a good time to take over. Lots of the supposed bad eggs contracts are ending, lots of money to rebuild with, a full report from Ralf on the handover.

Fantastic news.

I wonder if the players will be lifted with it now confirmed. You'd surely want to finish the season well and show your worth.
