I like him so much, probably my favourite manager since SAF. Can be a bit stubborn at times, but he is so good. The guy is almost always spot on with his words and ideas.

If he would fail here, it would probably be my biggest lesson in football yet. I think he's much better than Moyes, Mourinho, and the outdated version of van Gaal.

almost fell for it until I saw that mouse and keyboard. Those are so 2013..
Yeah, I could buy the two pairs of ears, but I'm not having that keyboard at all.

I wish he would take over from that fraud ralf immediately.

Why wait?
He's not daft. A stinking performance is inevitable, he's not going to make much difference in the space of a few days. We lose, and the knives will be out already.

Let Ralf finish the season, get rid of the crap that doesn't want to be here and start from fresh at the end of the season.

I think he could make a statement by playing the kids. Gnarcho. Hannibal. McNeill.

That would make for a nice headline :)

Not really, no, AWB & Telles certainly not - but they aren't first choice anyway (Dalot, still no btw, definitely need a right back), Maguire and Fred probably, yes, even McTominay as a squad player I could see him using. But it was the goalkeeper I bolded because that's where so many of our problems begin. DDG is so far detached from everything Ten Hag uses in a goalkeeper it's a joke, he doesn't leave his line which means the team physically cannot push up the pitch and his distribution is appalling. You say "expensive keeper", why does it need to be an expensive goalkeeper? I'm not getting into the statistics on Henderson because I've done them to death and he's quite clearly not a dodgy goalkeeper, much less so than DDG over recent seasons, but in terms of bringing a goalkeeper in - his first choice for much of this season just gone was a 38 year old brought in on a free transfer from Vitesse, the best goalkeeper in the PL this season other than Allisson was signed from Olympiacos for less than £7m in the summer. We somehow allowed Mike Maignon to move clubs last summer for like £10m. The bar with DDG is so low in terms of sweeping, distribution, crosses, communication (frankly everything other than basic shot-stopping) that it really isn't difficult to find a replacement and they could spent as much or as little as they want.
I am so used to our miserabel scouting standard that it is unthinkable that we sign a bargain keeper for 10-15m. Hopefully ETH can change that. (But we will still be paying DDG's wages until the end of his contract).

Ten Hag reckons Overmars will make a comeback - a "romantic return" in fact, to Ajax. And if they're leery about it, I wonder if we'll give him a job?

Leipzig I think
Ah. Thanks.

One concern is that lots of clubs with CL need quality in the positions we need, perhaps less so in full back where most clubs have enough. Normal to be in competition for players but without CL it will be hard to compete with other clubs. Can only hope we identify quality possibly less sought after players

- So Ten Hag starts today,
- wants to work with Ronaldo,
- basically says Neville, Ferdinand and Scholes should shut up. Because they are United icons their opinions may influence the dressing room.
The man seems hellbent on making me like him more and more each day

Loving the no nonsense approach so far, really comes off as meaning business and the fact he's so eager to start right away as soon as Ajax's season ended bodes well for his chances of success with us.

Type of guy that will be manically obsessed with doing everything and leave no stone unturned to bring the club back

I love him already. I love that as soon as he won the title for Ajax, he ripped up his contract and got on a plane. Could have coasted the last 6 weeks, made some phone calls from his office and spent the rest of his day playing Wordle, but no. Next challenge please.

He even said he allows his players 24 hours to enjoy things, but this magnificent bastard was already darting past the duty frees!
