Why arent we looking at players like this. This is the sort of thing they do and we dont anymore.
They did the same with Robertson.
We do it plenty, they just haven't worked out - no guarantee this will.

Christ, is he worth that?
Million dollar question. Or a 100 million.

He's good. Very good.
Is he better then Camavinga who they already have? I don't know.

They've squeezed the last drops from Luka and Toni, it's time to move them on, and they are aware that getting a top midfielder is no easy task.

They're buying potential. We will see if it pays off.

We all love United
Do Madrid want to let go Kroos or Casemiro now? We could do with either one of them in our midfield, or better, both

Imagine we don’t buy De Jong for whatever reason and Barca can’t get Lewandowski who has burnt all his bridges with Bayern. His was probably worse than what Kane did with Spurs last year

How does that work, not everyone at Ajax is Dutch. Are you annoyed we arent being linked with more overpriced
ingerlish talent?
It was tongue in cheek because we now have ETH were just being linked to half the Ajax and Netherlands squads. Lazy journalism at its finest. They’re quoting names knowing one or two will probably stick. I couldn’t give a damn what nationality players are aslong as they are good.

When was the last time we got a bargain from Scotland or the lower leagues in England?
The last time we signed a player (who never played at the highest level) from the lower league who became a hit at United - probably Lee Sharpe. Dion Dublin was financially a hit as well as we got twice the money we paid for him. As for Scotland - Brian McClair

Does it matter that it's from Scotland or England? Amad, Pellestri, Dan James, Dalot (at the time). Not to mention we tend to gamble on talent younger and bring them through the academy - Ennis for example who came from Liverpool, Garnacho, Hannibal, Kwambala, Emeren, etc.

People mainly point to Robertson as the example, but that's just confirmation bias. Most of these sort of transfers don't work out as well as Robertson.

That is a potentially great signing for Napoli. Haven't watched Leo Skiri Østigård that much, mostly on the national team, but he is aerially proficient, strong in the duels. Shades of Vidic in the physicality(just shades. calm down :D), and not just because of the haircut. Still needs to develop a bit on his passing i think, but the potential is there, and at 3 mill its a no-brainer. Could make sense for Østigård if he knows Koulibaly is leaving, otherwise its a risk to take fighting for a starting position.
Dunno why Brighton would sell for 3 mill though, but probably because his contract runs out next year (according to transfermarkt)
