Depay is a hip hop "star". This guy is a prick who will do anything for the win. Enough?
I think the major difference I take from say Depay, or any other of these players like Ziyech/Neres, etc is that when you see how Ten Hag intends to set up (assuming he wants to go the Ajax/Pep route), is for players to have flexibility during the match to change formation. Depay was good at dribbling and goalscoring, but had little pace, and scored a fair number of free kicks. Thus when he came to the PL he looked garbage up against quicker/better players. Similarly Ziyech and Neres had a similar way of playing, and belong to a prior era of ETH where he used them differently, they were used as inverted wingers that relied on effectively playing around Belhuis(?) I think who was playing as a false 9.
Antony is actually incredibly hard working, he can be frustrating at times from the all touch clips (a bit nani like in that sense), but its the shifts he puts in when in defense and transition. He also holds possession really well, and draws a lot of fouls. He is also pretty clever tactically and obviously understands his role in the setup ETH wants, transitioning easily between RW and RM. So he is nothing like Depay in that sense.
I will also say that Ajax in attack look terrible at times, a few of the games I have watched the amount of chances created for Haller, etc, that are not put away I would expect Ronaldo/Fernandes/Sancho to do better from.
