I have no idea either, yet.
He's angry as much as a number of us are here and this could help accelerate transfers since until now we have (maybe) ONLY Malacia confirmed, which is not so great.
We risk losing FDJ to Chelsea who have CL and he wants CL.
Antony is not coming and Eriksen is still wary of the situation.
Maybe Martinez but it's been a tough slog for all United supporters.

Ronaldo forcing the issues???

Ronaldo looking after Ronaldo.

Let's head to the bargain bin of strikers whose prices just suddenly tripled.
Yeah just like we're agreeing a fee for FDJ for three times his worth because we need a playmaker.

If we’re being brutally honest, he was completely shite till February anyway. He did score some solid CL goals but in the league we may as well have been playing with 10 men.
100%. He was atrocious for the first half of the season, our best player for about 2 months (once we went back to 1 game a season after getting knocked out of Europe) and then ended the season averagely too.

He’s hardly a huge miss; he earns a metric fecktonne, and he probably wouldn’t fit the new managers style of football anyway.

Unfortunately this is probably why the new shirt release was postponed… not for a new signing!!

Loved having him back… but if we can get the right player in and he goes abroad… probably best for all concerned!

Best United-related transfer news so far this summer, and probably a mutual agreement as I'm sure ETH could do without this "non-droppable" 38-year old drama queen. People forget he was actually shite for more than half the season and the team has never looked worse since his arrival.

Can't wait for the new season.

We've spent two weeks trying to whittle the price down so we can keep within our piss poor transfer budget.

What forward, ready to play the bulk of our games next season, are you getting for the £40-45m we'll have left in a few weeks time?

No way imo, he just won’t do that. It’s why I can see a scenario where he’s on the bench for Brighton having made an apology and ‘reaffirmed his commitment’ to the club.
Think he cares more about extending his CL goals record tbh. He's almost a billionaire for crying out load.

Napoli can't afford 500k a week. If they are interested then there's clearly a compromise somewhere.

Ronaldo looking after Ronaldo.
Well why not?
After all he wants to play in a winning team and we certainly don't have that right now.
Also the promises to sign FDJ, Eriksen, Antony etc etc have not been fulfilled yet.
Are we all being taken for a ride ??

As much as I enjoyed his goals last season we really shouldn't have brought him back in the first place. Thank feck Woodward is gone so we hopefully won't see more of these types of stunt signings again in the future.

Some of you guys call yourselves united fans. Honestly one of the few players who gave a crap about playing for the club last season and is a club legend. It's sad he's leaving. No need to be absolute belends.

Understandable but it’s probably best for all parties. We can also crack on with our search for a forward who will suit ETH’s philosophy and fits the profile for the type of player he likes, instead of delaying by another season just because Ronaldo is there.

He did well for us and scored some crucial goals, but didn’t add much to our all round play.

Hilarious that this tweet is being posted on a RedCafe that thinks Bruno is shite and Rashford only gets games because he's English.

Now we apparently don't need to replace the output of the only guy who looked like scoring all season.
I'm not sure what reference the tweet has to Rashford or Bruno. But football is a little more than the output of one player when he's contributed to the dysfunction of the team. This team will be even more dangerous with a player who scores less but contributes more in the build up phase, aswell as defending from the front imo. Ronaldo at his age isn't that player and it would be for the best if he leaves imo.

Manchester United doesn't match his ambition?

feck off
Well, it doesn’t. It hasn’t matched the ambition of any world class player for well over ten years. Even during Fergie’s final years, our ambition clearly receded from where it had been when Ronaldo was first there.

You can be disappointed in Ronaldo, but also recognise that virtually no top player with options comes here any longer to compete for trophies… and with good reason.

Anyone who thinks Ronaldo is leaking this stuff to “accelerate transfer deals” is off their rocker. The guy wants out. Pretty hard.

I've been looking through all these Ronaldo threads and googling it but I dont get it. Fill me in people. Does he legit want out or is it paper rumors. As far as I can tell its all coming from The Times. Are the credible?

The bit mocking the idea we have to replace Ronaldo's goals, therefore he's arguing they'll be coming from the squad we already have without Ronaldo.
Rashford and Bruno are the only other goal scorers we have who won't be playing prison or non-league football for the next few seasons.

Not sure why people are suprised by this. He's always been a selfish, egotistical cnut. I mean, this is a guy that was happy to go to City until we intervened. In hindsight, we should have probably allowed it to happen. Maybe then, all the shit that went on in the dressing room wouldn't have occurred. We were doing just fine witout him, and had we focused on what we really needed last season i.e. a couple of midfielders, then we could have really pushed on.

Please stop saying this.

I'd like to continue watching the club, if he signed I'd honestly have to stop watching.
Haha, we’ll it wouldn’t surprise me under the old regime, let’s see if we’ve really changed our spots!

Not bothered by this and it's very obvious he wants to win, like always. Made a calculated and nostalgic move last summer. But him leaving will benefit the team sooner than expected and that's fine. It accelerates the learning curve under EtH.

Similar to United w RVN. Prolific striker/CF, yet United didn't win as much as they maybe should have or thought with a player like that. Once he left, the team put their identity in Ronaldo and Rooney. More of a team effort going forward and United were more unpredictable in their play. Same thing will eventually happen. 1 or 2 months from now or 12 months from now.

Ronaldo has given this club more than our fair share of amazing moments and trophies. He's earned and deserves to continue to compete for more trophies.

We talk about Arsenal, Liverpool, City fans etc as being the worst, but I think some of our lot are utterly half witted at times.

The ONE positive of last season was Ronaldo.

Who do people think we're going to magic in as our replacement with 5 weeks to the first game?
We have Rashford in dreadful form, Greenwood no-one even knows what's going on, but any sort of return is near impossible, and we expect we'll magic the money to get a proper replacement in? Do we have a spare 80-100m?!

The only slight hope is a swap of Ronaldo and Lewandowski? Not confident though.

Roll on 2023/24, might come back then

It'll be a real statement alright.

I think Chelsea might take Neymar though and PSG Ronaldo to team him up with Messi and see them both retire (back home to their local clubs) in 2-3 years.
