On a free, a no brainer.

Now FDJ, Martinez, a forward and another striker to replace Ronaldo please

Adding more creativity in the team. Hopefully increasing the team’s xG. And we might have our main corner taker now.
You're in for a shock because the last time I watched him at spurs, he couldn't clear the first man.

Dig up his stats at Brentford and read what their fans say of him transforming their side. We've established that our midfield is utter dross, right? So how is this nepotism?
It's a pun him being Eriks son

Think Bruno is going to jump on the #8 he’s referenced it before and so has Mata. Whats interesting is if Eriksen gets the #21 as thats De Jongs favoured number.
I hope de Jong get nr 4. Wants a midfielder to get it like Veron and Hargreaves.

Yes, just curious how he will fit in with De Jong and Bruno?
Me too until I saw his stats for Brentford and how EtH used to line up Schone, De Jong and VDB for Ajax in the CL, occasionally swapping Schone with Blind (against Bayern for example) when he wanted more bite in midfield (possibly because of Muller's runs).

I think its a joke. "Erik" Ten Hag. Erik's Son > Eriksen.

I dont know

But seriously, what I like about this signing is that 1) we have now someone both fully experienced in the Premier League and fully aware of the Ajax way (from his days over there) and 2) he can either support or replace Bruno depending on what the situation calls during a match. We have been moaning about the lack of quality midfielders who can help Bruno to not take the world on his shoulders, but Eriksen's arrival is a big step in the right direction of increasing our squad depth with quality.

He was a good player, but this is a terrible time to sign him, late in his career and with serious health issues. Trainwreck of a signing.
Holding his heart attack against him is just plain wrong. He has had an ICD placed, doctors have cleared him to play, and he has already played a good number of games at the highest level since the incident. It's in the past.

Someone who can deliver a free kick for the first time in a decade?

Obviously he'll lose any ability to do so upon joining us.

Hopefully this signals the start of a bit more of a positive week of news.

I'm very surprised by that.

I really don't see their point of view on this. If they tied him down to an 18 month contract and he was kicking off trying to join us then I'd get it but not when they only signed him for the 6 months.
Football fans. Also surprised though.

As a Dane, I bloody love this. He has a house a couple of kilometers from mine, and is often spotted in our city. Such a down to earth guy, who doesn't take himself the slightest too serious. No fuss, just playing ball. A guy you can only wish the best for.

Can't believe he is going to play for my favorite team.

Provided the deal gets confirmed (I believe it when it officially happens, not when ITK types swing between claiming the deals happening one minute, then 'break the news' it's off the next minute) then I'll be pleased with the signing.

A good, experienced CM who still has a useful all round game but is especially comfortable on the ball with good technique and vision for forward passes. He offers something we're short of in the current squad.

If the signing gets confirmed, then it's a good addition on a free transfer.

As free punts go, there are few better than Christan Eriksen. I feel this signing will positively influence FDJ too.

Our central midfield prospects for next season look far more appealing than they did 12 months ago.
