There is talks of us asking for 15m….this together with 25m savings in wages….

We really should go all out for a top striker
Who?

There aren't many about. Especially ones who want to play Europa league next season.
We may have to bite the bullet and promote from within.

He happens to also hand in a transfer request at the same time? Surely if this was true, the transfer news would not have been made public?
Ronaldo is an arrogant, self-boasting, rude prick among many things. Unprofessional sulk is something he is not.

Ronaldo deserves some space. He's lost a kid in the past few months and the very thought of having someone else in the family fall sick would be a frightening experience for a while. Very surprised people are showing very little empathy here for him being excused from training. Him wanting to leave and him not training are two different, independent and mutually exclusive events.
I haven’t lambasted him but can you really say that as fact? I don’t think you can.

Playing Devil’s advocate, he clearly doesn’t want to come across as a negative figures to us fans so he’s obviously not going to say that he isn’t training with us out of protest.

There’s a place to defend him, but I don’t think statements like above should be made as if they are facts.

If we are selling him to Chelsea, we should try to ask for Armando Broja as part of the deal

Anyway I'm fine with him leaving as he is too good for us unfortunately. I doubt he'd skip training. It's kind of pointless
First of all, Rio is a moron. Second, Ronaldo isn't showing up because he wants to leave, that's his move. It's not his first time.

Selfish player. Soon to be 38. Would be a massive mistake going into the season with him leading the line. He did give us some great moments last year but the dressing room harmony went to crap. We didn’t need him last year and with a new striker (hopefully) we don’t need him again.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus

He was looking good for Southampton for the first half of the season and gave a good account of himself against us. Didn't follow much for the last part of the season, but I remember on Talksport they were saying Chelsea have been taken back by the speed in which he has progressed - something they thought would take a couple more years. I certainly wouldn't be against it, there's a lot to work with. But I doubt Chelsea would be keen.

Shocking at how United fans are egging Ronaldo to leave, that too to Chelsea. He was coming good toward the end of the season.

When you look at the "Replacements thread" and names like Yedder and Vardy and Bellotti are being mentioned...we're in trouble.

Rashford, Elanga and Martial are now set to be regular starters.

Instead of egging a player on to leave, maybe one should introspect as to how awful a state we're in right now.

There are 7 months left before he turns 38.

This is just like a stag do I was on, the stag said he needed his phone back and had to ring home to check on an ill family member, just ended up calling his missus for an hour.

Didn't buy it then, not buying it now.

You think we should keep an unhappy player, especially when that player is as influential as Ronaldo is?

Na. Get him gone, and gone fast.

This isn't the same Ronaldo that left in 09. He's the same selfish player, but is nowhere near the level he was in 09.

Aye, 38. Doesn’t run, doesn’t track back. Needs the ball to feet. We play him then we are going to face a lot of the same problems we faced last season. Don’t let a few good performances towards the end change that. His goals were memorable. His performances however were painfully average most weeks.

His ego is probably higher now than it was then while he's half the player.

The delusions within the United fan base are something else, has to be said.

I think we should understand WHY he is unhappy and then to rectify the situation.

And we aren't rectifying the situation.

We're heading into next season with McFred, as it stands, Maguire as CB, AWB as our #1 RB, Elanga as our RW and Martial as our CF.

I just responded to the part where you say he's turning 38 soon. He is not even half way through 37.

Oh, suppose not, but even than if we are looking to playing better football we can’t be relying on someone that’s near the end and you could definitely see the physical side of the league catching up with him last season.

I am hoping for a Kante swap
Oh, he's a good one took bru his injury history is of concern though.

I've been reading reports that Tuchel isn't taking him on the pre-season tour for some reason, so the kid wants out and Chelsea are looking for ~25mill as a fee to sell him

It would be a miracle to convince Tuchel by the new owner to fit Ronaldo in.
Where is this coming from?? People actually think Tuchel wouldnt want him     His wages are the only issue, most big clubs would want him, especially a strikerless chelsea. He will bang in at least as manygoals as last season, probably a lot more and might well carry them to the title.

He's unhappy because we didn't get into the Champions League and his ego is too big to play in the Europa. His fear of being caught by Messi has scared the life out of him.
That's it. That's the only reason.

He knew who the owners were before he joined.

I just don't get it. Chelsea aren't likely to pull up any trees next season. What would be the fecking point of burning your legacy at United for that?

Chelsea are far behind City and Liverpool. Ronaldo signing won’t carry them to anything. Maybe a league cup?
Don’t see any other clubs queuing up.

I would love to sell him to the dippers for two reasons:
1. He would set the rot in from within
2. Blind fanbois need to have their eyes opened and have a reality check

Tuchel doesn't want him by all reports. Boehly is heavily pushing for him and he seems like another Woodward.

He wants to extend his CL goal record by any means possible.

If Liverpool/City wanted him, he'd ditch United in an instant too.

He doesn't care about this club.
