I think these kind of games the starting 11 is pretty irrelevant since all the players will get subbed either at 45 mins or 60 mins and rotated.

He has probably picked last seasons regulars to see if he can get a tune of out them but I doubt it has a huge bearing on how we will line up at the start of the season. If those players underperform in pre season and other players flourish this will impact who plays when competitive games start
