The truth is, until he hits the ground running the pressure is only going to grow. Liverpool really need to find a way to avoid exposing his limitations which is basically his poor touch and limited technique.

Of course it is. It's like that with any signing a club makes. You don't know that Martinez is going to come in and be a hit but you hope that ETH knows what he's doing. I don't know if Nunez is going to be any good when the season starts but I hope that Klopp continues to show that he can get the best out of his signings (most of the time).

I'm with you on ballon d'or being an inadequate measure to rate players on but laudrup despite his sheer brilliance was really really inconsistent, i don't think he necessarily deserved it.
