He's losing his edge to the kids from France and from London.
But he was there.

He’s losing my edge to the Internet seekers who can tell the cafe every member of every good club from 1962 to 1978.

He’s heard everybody the cafe knows is more relevant than the he knows.

He’s heard that you and your club have sold your strikers and bought false number nines.

He doesn’t know what Ronaldinho really wants.
He's losing his edge to younger agents, with more exciting clients, and better ideas...who are actually really nice!

This circus has been coming all summer, just when we thought all was going so well.

He clearly doesn't want to stay, we clearly want him to and neither party seems like it's going to back down.
From the viewpoint of a slightly drunk fan, the whole situation is a bit absurd.

Ronaldo wants out, nobody wants to buy him, and United refuse to sell him - er, to whom?

I don't understand why the feck we would refuse to sell him in the first place - but there you go.

Whatever - I'll have another beer rather than wasting any more time on this shite.

First game of the season, Ronaldo will score and then pat the badge on his chest, or maybe even kiss it. You see, he never wanted to leave in the first place, United has and always will be his true love. He's sorry for all those years (and titles and trophies and records broken) at Madrid and Juventus. He loves us. Honestly. cnut.
Won't be the first game of the season but, perhaps in a similar fashion to 08-09, we'll go into the season saying we don't need him anyway and that he can feck off; fans will say that we now have a rejuvenated Martial and Rashford and that they're WAY better than the Portuguese traitor, but when they probably (inevitably?) disappoint and the results are poor, the Viva Ronaldo song will come out again and he'll bang in a few goals.

Football is very fickle

A loan to a champions league club and a new contract, so we end up paying to top up his salary so he can play for another club, then what do the same thing next season and want to leave all over again. Get this guy out of the club immediately, to even ask that from the club is ludicrous, doesnt want to play or train then he can sit in the reserves for a year.
That seems to be it, he wants everything. To be loaned to a CL club and be paid all his wages in which we will probably have to pay half of.
We will come to a agreement eventually and wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a free transfer to just get him out of the club and off the wage bill.

Ronaldo's thought process is absurd. No decent club with a shot at the CL title is going to sacrifice its progression for 1 years of a 37yo Ronaldo.

He should focus and winning a C3 title and prepare for his last world cup, but he's pretty much screwing everything up.

Finishing this post after my phone went haywire.

The thing is if Ronaldo hadn't have signed for United I'm convinced Ole would still be with us, I think it was the shift in the system that in turn destroyed the team spirit.

There's a reason that it's the only link he actually denied publicly so far as that would effectively mark the end of his career at the very highest level in Europe.

Sporting aren't going anywhere and they would likely even take him back if he was 45 years old. He feels like he has a couple more seasons left at a high level though so I can't see him making that move no matter how much he wants to play CL football.

Going back to Portugal while his rival Messi is challenging for another CL at one of the best clubs would be far too much for his ego to handle
yes thats the corner he has backed himself into. will he end his top tier career to scratch a few more CL goals. Quite funny in a way, he's desperate to leave, but maybe not that desperate :smirk:

Is that possible though? I fear marketing aspects will play a role.
I was under the impression that any player can retire at any time. They just can't then go play for somebody else.

The bottom line for CR7 is that he won't start in any reputable team because he isn't any good at anything except scoring goals and some of the things he is not very good at he is in fact now very bad at. Chuck in a narcissistic personality disorder that only functions with the world revolving around him and you have to ask who in their right mind would sign him even on a loan with half his wages paid?

I know it'll never happen / those days are well over, but I'd love to see him "banished to the reserves" for a season. This bloke is a boil on the exceptionally large arse of Utd these days.
He is not, and never will be, bigger than United or any other club. I find him disgraceful. His ego is the be all and end all, but it's taking a hit now as nobody wants him, and rightfully so. He's not what he thinks he is. "oh, I think I'll go to Bayern for a year". No mate. Not how it works.
He needs a club that will pander to his ego of being the all time top scorer in the Champions League.
I for one - slate me if you like - I don't care, will be happy if he doesn't kick a ball in competitive play this coming season.

Wait a minute, hold on. He has his name on his pants?

Weirdo.

Also, if you're gonna take a pic like that, at least fluff yourself up a bit, dude looks like a Ken doll.
He has his own underwear brand. Obligatory:

I get the sentiment on here but we're short on forwards and there's not anyone we're linked to/available/good enough, so I'm fairly content for him to return. Use him sparingly to get the most out of him. He has plausible deniability so all will be forgiven, and tbh you can't blame him for looking to see if a move was available.

Alright, but I still am not sure if ETH will just drop him like that. He definitely deserves being dropped, and I believe Ten Hag comments about building team around him is because that's the only way - it's not like Ronaldo will adjust to ETH methods, that I'm pretty sure of.

Imo he will play every second game, maybe even more if there's enough time to rest. Unfortunately we're stuck with him.

Ronaldo and his agent having meetings about wanting to leave like its United's problem to find him another club FFS.

When you find someone Ronnie, tell them to make a bid, and then you have something to discuss...until then shut up and get your training kit on!
