Ofcourse it will be a loan we can't seem to sell out players (except for preseason Pirlo). If he is going on loan there needs to be a mandatory buy clause in there.

Why oh why would we only loan him out? Are there really zero clubs in the world that would take him and offer half-decent wages?

Telles Sale Value? £10m but has a 2 year contract on £100k, say the buying team only want to pay him £50k a week which means there is £50k a week hit which Telles will not accept so would rather go on loan and we pay the £2.6m in wages difference, instead why not take the 2 years differential off the value and sell him for £4.8m and the £5.2m difference (relating to salary differential) they can pay him as a signing on fee and nobody loses out and we get him off our books?

Wage caps make this a problem in many countries. Easier to throw money at anything but wages.

Alexis Sanchez was the worst signing in United history. Even forgetting about his poor performances on the pitch, the knock-on effect he had on the wage structure is causing us problems to this very day.

No, signing on fee's are seen as "one off" payments, wages are a regular commitment, it's a way of circumventing unfortunately.

Too many people are making a big deal out of this, though. We've known for a long time that Frenkie prefers a CL club, so this shouldn't come as a surprise. However, the only substantial bit of info here is that Chelsea's currently monitoring de Jong's situation. There's no mention of the player preferring London specifically for whatever reason, only that he prefers a CL club, which implies that he'd prefer Chelsea over United. Chelsea, however, won't make a move for him until we pull out of the deal similar to how they handled the Cucurella situation. Chelsea's problem is that United have already agreed on a deal with Barcelona, so we're further ahead than City in that regard.

Loan deal dependent on United covering wages should be a non starter.. United need to stop being pushovers. Telles isnt on 200k or something crazy.. anyone wanting him on loan can cover his wages.
We'll be covering a portion of his wages and at the end of the loan he'll be worth even less given his age. Murtough playing a blinder as usual.
We are still doing it now, the prestige to play for united or ten hag is not there at the moment unless it is a player that is at a far lesser club/league and not highly in demand.

The rose tinted fans are deluded to think this deal has been held by deferred wages, do you think it would taken this long if frankie was at united on deferred wages and barca came calling?

I’d say Pogba is marginally worse than Sanchez.
Sanchez was an expensive mistake which we somewhat managed to resolve 18 months later. Furthermore the reason Sanchez was on £400k was primarily due to us paying Pogba over £325k or whatever for his contract on his return. Again, Pogba’s contract lifted the ceiling on all other earners at the club, for which we’re still suffering.
It would be even more stupid to keep him. We'll get a loan fee from Sevilla and have the player involved in games. And as far as i'm concerned, I want to see the player moved on whether that be on loan or permanently.
I've mentioned this in the past, but if we were in the CL, then this move would have been done sooner as de Jong would have taken a compromise on both the loyalty payments and deferred wages. With that said, there's no reason for any United journalist to state that we're still in this if de Jong gave us a clear signal that he's not interested in us.
We can brief some journalists that Chelsea is interested in Telles if we really want to sell him.

Iam pretty sure Martial , Degea contract extension was after siging Sanchez. And there were reports players were unhappy how low they were payed compared to Sanchez.
Only Pogba’ transfer is close to Sanchez but atleast Pogba played few games well for us. Sanchez has to be the worst.
