Rashford is one of those players you really want to see succeed based on his character and the work he has done. When he got the ball at his feet today, I was desperately hoping for some creativity instead of the all-too-predictable act of dribbling directly into the feet of the defender before losing possession.
He has no positional ability/awareness (arguably Ronaldo’s most impressive ability is his knowing when and where to be in the box), he can’t cross, negligible set piece value, and he doesn’t create with the ball at his feet. All this could be forgiven if he didn’t seem like the exact same player he was three years ago. Zero development. He’s a piece that’s not starting material, and he’ll only stay until ETH finds the time to replace him (just like you, Dalot, Fred, McTominay, and De Gea)
