Answering the headline. No, he won't. Just like he never bought Twitter.

Why don't people actually like him?

Is it because he's a bit of a jerk, in a "successful billionaire businessman is a bit of a jerk" shocker?

The fact that he joked about it is interesting to me. Tells me that the rumours of Glazers selling or people being interested are real..

Musk would be the least preferably of the 3 billionaires that have always made sportswashing sesne, Ratcliffe, Bezos, Musk etc, but i would still take him any day of the week.

Within two years this club would get gutted from top to bottom of its yes man, its bankers, its incompetents, 100% of the money it makes would go back in to it and maybe even more and ultimately this means player power would stop ruling the roost.

Ah one can dream. These parasites will be here forever, using us as a yearly piggy bank and loan collateral...

The guy gets a million messages a day to buy United, which is why he said that, he's joking we all know that. HOWEVER, I actively trade the stock market on a daily basis and here's what happened yesterday:

Man Utd get's 0 options activity because the stock never moves but yesterday lunch time it got 450k in volume on it's options:

This picture shows that someone with a lot of money thinks the stock price is going to at least $14, from the $12.63 it is now.

That's a 3500% increase in volume.

This all happened before Musk sent out that Tweet so the conclusion is that someone knows something is going on at United or Musk is manipulating the market to make some lunch money.
Thanks for clarification on this. Interesting indeed.

Elon could buy us, revamp the stadium, get bored and sell at a loss...I'm here for it!

So desperate to get rid of the Glazers.

I would prefer a state, like Saudi Arabia, Emirates, Dubai, Qatar, Bahrein
I sincerely hope you're joking. I'd rather the Glazers stay than have oil sheikhs in charge of this club. Utterly disgusting to even think about.

Media will never stop

This is good. Joking or not, at least it brings heat on the Glazers. As I said, maybe someone else rich enough might notice.

It's true, the more discussion there is from all angles about United having new owners the better

Do we want Musk as the owner?

Honestly, prefer Bezos.

Musk is an egomaniac, this can be good and bad.

Bad, he draws kind of circus we want rid of.

Good, he would actually invest heavily as he knows success for the club increases his global spotlight.

United need so much investment on the field and off it too. New facilities, stadium, training grounds for both men and women teams.

I doubt there is literally anyone all would agree upon to be an ideal owner. I doubt this person exists.
