I so hope this is true but I'm not getting my hopes one bit with this club.

No chance it's Giggs for obvious reasons.
Scholes, no one would listen to him.
G Nev, maybe, but Becks is actually a good businessman with a big enough profile to perhaps fall into similar circles.
I would go with Neville

The pessimist in me see's this thread reaching a 1000 pages (like the De Jong one) before it eventually fizzles out into nothing. But for now I'll dream.

Why do people think it's Beckham when G Nev just last week was hyping up the Glazers out chat?!

Surely this wouldn't be talked about and Sir Jim going public if he hadn't gotten a brief that the vultures were interested in selling.
The 1%'ers probably have a WhatsApp group for memes and acquisitions.

And yet it's happening to them, the first year after new rules that help the other cars improve came in
They've gone from being the Bayern in their sport to a Liverpool - very good but just cannot win the big prizes.

We're closer to a McLaren, not even a Ferrari

Please let this be true! We really need to keep pushing with the glazers out signs and protests/boycotts, etc hopefully it will push them to sell. Also they need to invest in the stadiums/players, and debt, so most likely it’s a business decision and not because of the fans, but we can only help the case.

He wouldn't need to, The club generates enough to spend to keep up with anyone, it would be how he runs us
I've read this a few times; we're relied more on debt and not made a surplus in years.

Before we get too excited, this was him a few years ago:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mi...ews/britains-richest-man-sir-jim-20948272.amp

Not sure what would have changed for him if he actually goes for it. Probably easing in with minority share and eventually taking over.
Probably because, a) the super league collapsed so Glazers expected big jump in revenue went down the pan, b) We're actually starting to see a fall in revenue consistently.. We couldnt match the chevvy deal, and even Teamviewer are saying they've overpaid and the Addidas deal is coming to an end and we probably won't get near that again, not to mention we're looking for seasons without CL football. c) As revenue goes down, interest rates go up, it'll be harder for them to service the debt and invest to get those revenue back up.

Probably means the club is prime position to being sold and Glazers are probably going to ask for a more realistic valuation.

I'm sceptical whether he has the money to invest in the club, if he doesn't he will end up buying the club with a loan and will be no different than the Glazers with the extortionate interest payments.

There’s definitely a fire here. Monday night needs to be another huge push. Protests and social media trends.

He's changed his mind because of our preseason win against Liverpool and the FDJ muppetry.

Actually.... Has anyone ever seen Ratcliffe and @Berbaclass in the same room at the same time? Food for thought...

I really hope the pressure rachets up on the Glazers from pundits / rest of ex United players.

Just point out all the flaws over the past 10 years. All the money they took out of the club.

How we're about to get overtaken by City for number of fans in the US. How the commercial revenue growth is tapped out.

Maybe there's a possibility.

Great news!
Though he's also a stingy bastard but as long as he doesn't suck the club dry we should be alright .

If Ineos are also involved it's a lot more interesting.

I'm not sure I agree with those saying "we generate plenty of revenue"

we're not as strong financially as we used to be, the cash reserves are depleted, we need a lot of investment in the stadium, and the team is fecking miles off

we could use a bit of investment to bring us up to scratch

its kinda a moot point as whoever comes in needs to run things better anyway

but to say there's plenty of money flying around isn't that true anymore

the covid hit and all the oil money inflating prices and wages has changed things

and to be clear, someone coming in and clearing the debt, whilst not taking divs and running things sensibly will be a vast vast improvement and I'd be delighted with that

The Glazer ownership costs us circa £50m a season. It basically allows us to buy another AWB every season.

We'll external investment to actually go anywhere, and the club to be run more cleverly on the pitch.

I do like the idea of a ruthless yet benevolent chairman. Someone like a Florentino Perez.
