Premier League Gameweek 3

How have Henderson and Lingard looked so far?
I’m only half-watching but Henderson has had one decent save and is looking ‘commanding’ in that Hendo way(just made another good save.) Lingard looks anonymous. Also can’t see why Chelsea want to spend such money on Gordon.

Side note: Steve Cooper looks like a guy who used to be in an 80s pop/rock band (think Level 42).

I have to say, watching the difference in intensity, tempo and desire in every other fecking team in this league compared to us is extremely concerning.

Not surprising - we are genuinely the worst team in the league right now. The only ones worse this year have already been relegated. Our league position does not flatter us one bit.

Nonsense, they completely outplayed us. We were absolutely awful. They fully deserved their convincing win
2-0 ahead after 17 minutes Brentford was from total gifts. Outside of those goals they had no other shot on goal, 29% possession and just a mere 64 successful passes.

Extremely unlikely. No way Forest would have signed him with such a clause.
Not sure if even the league rules will allow it? Anyways we should have been firm in stopping him from going until ETH took a look at him. He looks like he would have been perfect under ETH.

Why would you prefer City winning it over Spurs?
Spurs are not winning the league so it's a moot question especially playing the way they're playing currently.

I think if/when we get a DM we should go 4-3-3 with Iwobi as the ‘CAM’ and Onana and whoever beside him.

think he should stay deeper as it obviously suit him, could easily revert to old if you move him back closer to the final third. Mid three but just with a proper DM rather then someone at n10

They played very well, sure they were gifted a couple goals but even the gifted goals came about from intense well synchronised pressing. Ignoring the fact that they went 4 goals up and adjusted their approach so this is going to be reflected in the stats you mentioned, football isn’t just about on the ball work. They pressed and applied pressure early on to disrupt United’s rhythm and force mistakes, and after getting their goals they were able to stay compact and stop United from having any momentum or meaningful possession.

It was an outstanding display and they deserved the kudos they got
