Dropped. He’s leaving imo. And that’s fine. But we need to get a striker in.

Here's to you,
Mr Eleson,
Head stuck up Ronaldo's rabbit hole.
Oh, oh oh.

Because Fabrizio Romano said so?
Damn man, you're really blinded by Ronaldo, it's amazing really.
Fabrizio happens to be one of the most reliable journalist if not the most reliable on social media. So who’s blinded?

At the end of the day you’ll only believe what you want to believe irrespective of who’s reporting it (whether reliable or not) because your agenda is that you want Ronaldo out.

He's really not, and you're projecting onto me now - I don't hate Ronaldo, but yes I want to gone as I think he's hurting our clubs progress - but you are the one sticking your head in the sand at every negative tweet and only want to believe the few positives.

Constantly at the STD clinic.
I don't think Fabrizio is reliable, I think Ronaldo has been a proper twat this season and if we can replace him with a striker we must.

However, I don't buy this backroom rift speculation. A headache for ETH on how to play him? Sure. Ronaldo has been around a long time and he has absolutely nothing to gain from creating a rift in the dressing room.

Take this for what it's worth, but I was at the first game early and Ronaldo was in good spirits before kickoff chatting to coach and staff and with the the rest of the team. Just my two cents on the issue. I've been a fan of the guy so I'm sure I'm biased but I'm trying to look at it objectively where yes he has been a cnut and its best he moves on but the backroom rift sounds a stretch

I didn’t disagree that he should move on. I disagree with the negative posts (completely unsubstantiated) that he is a cancer in the changing rooms/ training pitch. No evidence for this.

That’s correct.

I guess you guys were really hoping he was indeed causing problems.
Do you literally wait around on Twitter to see someone say positive things about Ronaldo so that you can "prove" everyone wrong? A few days back, I remember that you posted a positive quote from his friend as proof that he's not done anything wrong at all. Did you expect his friend to trash talk him?
Guy reported to training a month late after being offered all around Europe by his agent, is the first person to throw a b*tch fit during matches throwing his arms around at his own teammates, is among the ones with the worst workrate in the team but find 3 positive quotes about him everyday and convince people to join you in the 'Ronaldo is God' cult.

There is more evidence that he is than that he isn't and team's performances showing no team chemistry, him storming down tunnels and gesticulating at others only adds to the speculation.

He’ll find a club. Just needs to continue to lower his standards and demands. Like a widower or divorcee who hadn’t dated in 20+ years and are trying to get back into the game.

It’s usually best to go back to that one person who loved you back in the day, and still does, who you thought you were better than at the time, and didn’t want to stay with, Sporting Club.
Bleakest post ever.

News came the first week of July that he wanted out. Transfer window opened end of June.

Define “all summer.”
In football terms, I see it as the close season, so he should have said he wanted to move then, end of April? I get why he wants to go, he's not getting any younger and we aren't a sure thing, but he knew all of this end of last season and should have said as much. Pulled the same with Juve bit it worked for him then as we were in the wings.

Any reason why the only hope we have against Liverpool has been dropped?
I don't know, but I expected ETH would want to play Martial as soon as he was fit considering he hasn't yet played in the PL this season, just like I think Ronaldo wouldn't have played 45 minutes in the first game if Martial as available then. I think it's just normal team rotation from a new coach, nothing to speculate in here. He's definitely coming on more likely than not in the 2nd half anyway.

Edit: Also sorry for the offtopic question, but does anyone know the time when the MNF Ten Hag interview is happening? I'm not British and can't find info on the air time.

This makes sense. I completely forgot that martial is yet to play

Our only hope?what makes you think that? His excellent start to the season or his fantastic record against Liverpool since he came back?
Of all our current strikers, who else is most likely to get us out the mud against tough opposition?

I think I get what the poster means (even if the way they put it across was definitely exaggerated), even against Chelsea last season and despite United being dominated, he had one chance, one goal, and helped get one point for the team as the game ended 1-1. But Ronaldo is more likely than not getting game time in the 2nd half, and it's good Martial starts as he needs to play some games. All good with ETH decisions for the game at least from my point of view.

Also, thanks to who answered my question above, if the interview with ETH is part of the pre-match coverage, I think I'll have to hope someone uploads it toYoutube later on.

I can't forget how I felt about Martial last season, and still do. He was dead to me and he doesn't deserve the chance. So replacing Ronaldo with Tony is like replacing Torres with Ballotelli.

Of course I realise, we've little other option right now.

He doesn't have a great record against Liverpool, 3 goals in 13 games which isn't good for a player like him.

Rashford for example has a better record against them than him.

The only silver lining is laughing at the armchair coaches who said Ronaldo would be great at pressing because he would cut off the angles.
