Yeah that's exactly the minimum you'd expect there, but fine. Fair play for picking the pass

Other than that he hasn't really challenged, held up the ball too much and sauntered around considerably more than Jesus who is giving Varane especially a challenge
That is going to happen. Arsenal have been on top in midfield and have spent more time in our half, which means more time for Jesus to be on the ball near the box.

Rashford is mostly having to make runs onto long passes since the beginning.

15mins was great, then we drop deeper after there non goal as if we can get caught on break here. Need to control the game a bit more in 2nd half. It was clear foul on Eriksen so no complaints I don't give a shit what people say.

Come on lads no sloppy play and more control of the game.

What's wrong with these pundits, they're saying Eriksen wasn't fouled and it was soft. He got pushed for Pete sakes.

I don’t mind Bruno’s risk taking and playing on the front foot, but it does my head in when he does some needless back heel in the middle of the pitch
his flicks and back heels are so annoying! he loses the ball 9/10 just get hold of it and pass it to the winger ffs

State of hasselbaink. If odegaard doesn't foul him, he's about to spray a long pass. He just blatantly obstructs this without even kind of touching the ball. Should have been given in real time and nobody would even have blinked

Hasselbank can feck off and concentrate on Burton or whoever he is managing

Other than Keane, what a shit list of pundits

It would’ve been 1-1 still if not for de Gea save from a close ranged header. It was a 0.7xg shot I think

I don't know why you listen to these pundits

We have more important things to think about like the upcoming 45 minutes. Arsenal will be all guns blazing so hope our lads stay focused!

99 times out of 100 that's given as a foul in midfield and nobody bats an eye. Just because it leads to a goal doesn't mean that it's not a foul.

Hasslebank is never going to side with us anyway. He probably thinks if was a foul on Mendy anyway, complete clown.

I would say it was *just* a foul, and a bit debatable, so understandable I think.

Eriksen was kicked mid pass attempt, Arsenal player made zero contact with the ball, that’s a foul any day of the week.

Biggest sign we’re improving is that pundits are hating on us. Gotta love that.

So according to Hasseltwat, the player tackling Eriksen wasn’t actually trying to engage with him? He wasn’t trying to win the ball then?
It's a guy who when my Wycombe boys battered his team (Burton) 3-0 with some great strikes, he had the audacity to claim we'd got lucky.

Sky sports punditry is very poor. I dont usually watch sky sports but can't believe the level being ex players.

Btw Antony showing no 7 to the camera?

Bruno needs to circulate the ball more and stop wasting possession so cheaply. When you have both Rashford and Bruno where they lose the ball cheaply it gets very frustrating.

One of them needs to be subbed, get Casemiro for Bruno, push Eriksen forward and maybe later sub in Fred for him. Get Ronaldo in at some point maybe.

Our weak areas are obvious. We are very poor at playing out from the back, and when we do get the ball we need to be a bit more patient. Push them back, circulate the ball more and build pressure that way. The limitations of some of these players is obvious.

Good to go in 1 up at the break but not sure its been deserved. They’ve had far too much joy down our left side and Jesus is causing way too many problems for Varane and Martinez.

They looked quicker and stronger all over the pitch after the first 10 mins. Hopefully we can get greater hold of the game in the second half because I can see them creating plenty of chances.

McTominay is good today really, it's like a different person from McTominay who played against Brighton or last season.

I'd actually sub Sancho and move Rashford wide. Might even be better for us to sub Sancho in place of Casemiro and shift Bruno wide left.

On that note, as pleased as I’ve been with Malacia given the pennies we’ve paid for him, he really doesn’t offer much going forward at the moment. I’d be tempted to give Shaw the chance to prove himself again with some sub appearances. I’d like it if we played players on merit rather than the manager having favourites.
Yeah I think Malacia is playing it safe, especially in this game given the ability of Saka.

It's more the long balls. Jesus is actually challenging and making Varane put his arms all over him and will eventually get him a yellow. Rashford won't bother.

Absolute joke discussing that. He rams into him from behind, doesn't get anything of the ball, 100% foul any day of the week, how the ref even needed to look at it for more than 10 seconds is beyond me.
He's even done a push motion, double handed on him too.

It was surely a foul even in their "era" too!

Jimmy clown, you can’t just push people from behind and knee them without winning the ball
    Not only that.

    That was his passing leg.

If someone had booted or covered his right leg a second before some of his bangers, they wouldnt be bangers!

Antony scoring and us winning 1-0 for me, would be 84m well spent. Absolutely anything to shut up my Arsenal friends who have become borderline imaginary serial winners with seasoned title winners in their squad.

I dont think we are playing well BUT, it’s Arsenal, innit?

Watching a different channel and Michael Owen has said it’s definitely a foul and possibly not a foul for Martinelli’s goal…

Sancho has been bleak. Ronaldo on for him to run at the end of Anthony's crosses.
