Oil in the Middle East to dry up?In a world where it would take £80m to prise Ivan Toney from Brentford, what would it take to persuade City to sell Haaland?

I think Ivan Toney would be quality for us. Should get him for a decent price aswell… mitrovic might be a good shout aswell, he bangs goals in for the fun of it.
Will be good to see how Toney goes today against Arsenal, they’ve got a quick physical defense. I don’t think he is title challenger quality but he might end up being the best available.
Today summed up what I think of Toney. Not nearly good enough - I'm amazed so many people here are calling for him given how much they moan about overspending...
Taking talent, and price into account. So given a choice of Osimhen/Shick/David/Vlahovic which one of them would you pick
Not sure any fit the bill - and I've seen very little of any of them. Osimhen looks like one of those guys who has a great game or two and then fades for a few. If I had to go for one, then probably Shick. But, as I say, I'd like to find better than all of them. Look at what Jesus is doing for Arsenal, so possibly someone with PL experienceSo given a choice of Osimhen/Shick/David/Vlahovic which one of them would you pick
I give Vlahovic 1 year, 2 years top until he will want to leave Juve and we could be the potential buyers.

Vlahovic would be sensational. Pipedream but yeah he is awesome. Wouldn't mind Osimhen. Don't know much abt Shick or David.
I see people keep mentioning Rafael Leão, who granted is a good player but isn’t a CF and another who plays from the left
But not a CFRafael Leao plays like Martial when he first started out with us. Tricky, great dribbler, skilful, pacy.
Lorrenzo Lucca 22 built like a freak of nature, has good hold up ability, presses well and a good finisher, now on loan at Ajax,
forgive the music.
He hasn’t played well at all for Dortmund, been well below the hype, and constantly picking up injuries.Moukoko and slap him in straight away.
But not a CF
I’m worried that going for a False 9 player maybe playing to a soon to be ‘older style’ of football.
So I’m more interested in players like Schick or Toney instead of players like Nkunku.
Boadu is so talented but yet to have any sort of breakout season, needs to really kick on in the Ligue 1 before he is ready for another move. Ramos on the other hand I have really liked each time I've seen him play, he seems to have the physicality to hold his own in the PL and also quick enough to get in behind. I would love him at the club. Some names that haven’t been mentioned in this thread I don’t think to keep an eye on and see how they progress: Myron Boadu and Goncalo Ramos. Personally, I think Ramos would be a great fit if he continues progressing, great physical attributes already, presses well, looks to build up attacks, although has a few flaws that need to be ironed out, as any young striker does.
Was Toney really that bad?
Im just wondering because he didn’t score against arguably the top team in the PL.
I don’t know if that’s safe to judge him by - but I also did wonder about how much his penalties weighed his stats.
Don't know about strikers, but please don't let that guy Bellingham sign for anyone else, when he moves.
8 goals and 5 assists in 12 appearances.
21yrs old and seemingly having a bit of a break out season. Goncalo Ramos might be worth keeping an eye on
He's not my pick just for the record I've been insisting we go for Gakpo who has all the traits to be a top CF even though he currently plays as a LWDon't know much about him, but every CF at Benfica gets to those numbers.
It was Jonas, then Pizzi, followed by Seferovic and finally Nunez. Not all of those are setting the world on fire right now...
Kinda hard not to score 25 a year as a lone striker playing for a dominant team like Benfica.
But yeah, worth to keep an eye on anyway.

I'm sorry what now?
Arsenal may not be the best team but they are the top team of the premier league.
that’s all.
You obviously didn't mean they were top of the premier league as you said arguably. You are either top of the prem or not. I think we both know you meant they were the best team in the league (arguably). Don't back down! Stand up for the legopep!
I don't know enough about Vlahovic, one thing about Osimhen is that he's so much faster, on the counter United would destroy teams with Rashford, Sancho and Osimhen.
(United really need to extend Rashfords contract though or then United need more forwards).
Obviously against low block teams I don't know what is the best option, Vlahovic or Osimhen but I'm sure the scouting department is busy preparing
Why are all the ex Benefica strikers failing elsewhere? Benefica are one of three dominant Portuguese teams along with Sporting and Porto, but Nunez for example is playing for a previously fairly successful team....Don't know much about him, but every CF at Benfica gets to those numbers.
