Is Ronaldo justified to say that he “feels betrayed” by Manchester United?

There's a lot of people that refuse to look at the player Ronaldo is today, and only focus on the player he used to be. Ronaldo himself has clearly not come to terms with being mediocre, and he has an army of sycophants backing him up privately and publicly. One of the things I've enjoyed the most about Ten Hag's tenure is that players are picked on merit, not on price tag or name. The likes of Maguire and Ronaldo don't play a lot, because they are not good enough.

Clearly there is a big disconnect between Ronaldo's own perceived value and his actual value. Ronaldo's perception won't change, so there is only one solution, which is to get rid of him as soon as possible and mitigate the damage he does to the squad unity and the noise he creates. I am hopeful that we will find some kind of solution in the transfer window. If that means paying off some of his contract, so be it.

What a insufferable prick, I'll celebrate up and down the moment he leaves the club, and that day can't come soon enough. I doubt this narcisist cnut even loves football, just the fame and adulation it brings him from his personal achievements. He's a disgrace to the game imo, him and all others in it for just personal glory. His kind are made for tennis or golf, but he probably chose against them because they aren't as popular
I really do wonder what post retirement will look like for Ronaldo. When all his fanboys eventually move on to Mbappe & Haaland in a year or 2. It happens to all the legends. They canonly be paraded around as ambassadors for so long till no one is falling over backwards for them.
Will any club want him associated with them as some kind of faux director stealing limelight and attention?
I don’t see management happening either.

All talk of disrespect is disgusting. We're going through a financial crisis where families are struggling to pay for bills and food, and here we are talking about a vile millionaire footballer feeling disrespected because he was simply asked to do his job. It's frankly appalling behaviour and it makes me sick that he's associated with a club I care about. I can understand arse wipes like Piers Morgan defending him as he's profiting from the attention and enjoying the fallout, but any United fans trying to defend him should be ashamed
Anyone who still defends him isn't a Utd fan in my eyes, they're part of the lunatics who idolize him

Any word from Rio or Keane yet? It would sadden me if they keep defending him.

I should have remembered, can remember Nani and Anderson with his.
I always remember Rooney scoring at the away end of Stamford Bridge after getting that injury and raising his hand up as he was bent-over grabbing his hip to stop the rest of the team jumping on him to celebrate the goal - he really was a player who gave it his all for the team, like against Bayern a couple of years later, so Ronaldo going in on him now should anger all United fans TBH.

100% support this view - it's disgraceful and we should be condemning these actions. Piers Morgan FFS - whoever is advising this virus have sold their soul letting that prick run the story.
I've supported the club for 50 years through thick and thin - Ronaldo was the best player I've seen in my time but he's a nothing player in comparison this time round. No way back and good riddance.

I think his behavior is not hard to understand. He apparently needs time to get used to it, the fact that his career at top level is near the end if not already so. It is the symptoms many people experience around retirement. It could also last longer.
after several years, all of what happened and is happening will fade away.
Our club has to swiftly deal with this now.
I do agree that he is having a big problem accepting his ability is waning. Most players realise it for themselves and go gracefully, unfortunately it says a lot about his ego that he cannot do that.

Firstly I'm a UTD follower Fan etc etc, not A Cristiano Ronaldo follower. The Football team club whatever you say comes first and last, Ronny will always be a legend at UTD coming back was the wrong idea, especially when you decided to Sack the manager who had him in and put a interim German in.

There has been a lot if stuff wrong at the club, ETH is not one of those and When a player is not what he was it's hard to take, Ronny will go to another club has to he's finished at UTD now.

It's sad it's come to this but Ronny in modern times it's all about him, in hindsight should have left him go to City.
Like Pep would have actually wanted Ronaldo

Yeah. There are still some fans who use his pre-season as example of him being a kunt.
A lot of us have lost a child, you have to go on, especially for the sake of the other twin. He is making it about him that is not helping his wife or his children.

In hindsight, is he that much of a legend here? His biggest success was winning three back-to-back UCL's for another club and four Balon d'Ors while playing for other clubs. Yes he was a good player and we had success but how much was it about the amazing squad and he was the bit of magic required?

What disaster this whole comeback story turned out to be. It was fun for a brief moment last season, but I wish he never came back. His ego can't handle the fact he's not good anymore and he tries to blame everyone else around him.

Sourness is quite right. Ronaldo has every right to air his grievances. But in a private meeting with ETH, Mortough and Arnold. That’s the professional way to do it. Not in a media interview ffs!

It would be interesting to see if Souness had the same train of thought if one of his Liverpool darlings did the same thing? Would he back Salah in the same situation?

Ronaldo is finished at Manchester United, that's how I see it. The guy walks out on matches, then gives an interview like this. Yet collects his £500k a week??? He is a big, big baby. Petulant as hell.

It is so, so very sad, as he remains a club legend, but he's completely lost his perspective.

I actually would prefer a statement from the Glazers, stating this is simply unacceptable for a member of Man Utd staff to conduct himself in this manner. It's unacceptable. ETH should not even make a statement, and neither should any current players. Ronaldo has ostracised himself from the club who adored him, and he will have to deal with that.

Ronaldo should apologise, profusely, and should end his career at Sporting Lisbon, as the inspiration he should be remembered as.

He was part of the most successful period in the Clubs history. On the pitch he was as good as anyone. Off the pitch he has been a disgrace.

After all the shit they got last time, I doubt they will defend him again. Like now, everyone is bashing Ronaldo and Piers, I'm pretty sure they thought this would develop differently. Love it
