Cristiano Ronaldo: Set to leave by mutual agreement

Is Ronaldo justified to say that he “feels betrayed” by Manchester United?

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
I think the club wanted a transfer fee for him and this outburst is his way of getting a free transfer to any club he wants. It'll be a "mutual agreement" thing with no payout at all.
The club were apparently willing to let him go on a free this summer. That has been widely reported by multiple credible journalists. He wanted part of his wages covered though. I hope you’re right and we don’t pay him anything.

How is a guy like Piers Morgan getting so many high profile guests on his channel one after the other??

I thought he was a failure as a journalist/presenter. Is he supposed to be successful??

A bit similar to Keane in 05 and the MUTV rant.
Not being able to accept he is done at the top level while making some other valid points about whats wrong at the club.
The fans felt betrayed in 09 and Pyers sucking up to him made me cringe.

I think this is why the club is waiting for the full interview.

Club lawyers will want to make the case that he's in breach of contract so they need the full context of everything he has said, in order to build as strong a case as possible to sack him.

It will be tough. United couldn't sack Keane without compensation. However, none of us saw the Keane interview. This has partially gone public and soon will go fully public. I think the club will likely have solid grounds to argue he's deliberately done reputational damage to it and fire him.
We had control of the Keane airing that's the difference. The only measure will be whether what he's said qualifies as causing reputational damage.

Saying you don't respect Ten Hag and the facilities aren't good enough isn't going to be enough sadly. Depends what he's said about the Glazers.

Doesn’t really matter how he ‘feels’

& he’s allowed to feel betrayed.

It’s the irony that astounds me.

He’s of course entitled to his opinion, but when people (Ronaldo) start believing their opinion to be fact and presenting it as such, it just becomes white noise.

My opinion, which is worth very little, is that he just can’t accept that he is far from the player he once was yet still presents himself and thinks he is the best. From outside looking in, he’s delusional and there can’t be a way back for him from here (hopefully)

There’s a reason no clubs have come in for him. And in most cases, it’s ability related

He kisses their arses and asks the questions they want asked.

He's incredibly successful because most people in the world are utter morons.

The feck is Rio on about re: communication? You'll play if you perform well enough. ETH wad never going to allow some special status or guaranteed starts. These chaps just can't see him as 'a player'.

Doesn't make sense, he'd just settle for a mutual termination of his contract then
He clearly doesn't want to play for United any longer. He's well aware. The club refused to let him go on a free and he's basically forcing their hands by this petulence. It'll be giving him what he wants. There has to be a better response here.

Can the club sue him and terminate his contract?
I'm not sure about the law suit, but surely the club can terminate his contract and remove him from the payroll. Players are not free to do whatever they want. I'm sure that this is a serious breach of his contract.

Seemingly he gets a lot of attention, which is all that really matters to the attention seeking asshats who blab to him

No, the club didn't want a transfer fee they wanted to not pay his wage while no one wanted to pay his 500k per week emoluments.

Well as you can see by the media reaction I am right. The slave quote for me was a reason he shouldn't have returned.

What are actually trying to say in this thread? You're having a nightmare.
Are you Cristiano's fake CAF account.

You are not allowed to make your opinion public if it causes reputational or financial harm to the company you work for.

I don't think anyone wanted him but the club should never have postured that it wanted to keep him. All this disrespect is coming because they think our position had anything to do with it. Yeah we had a right but this is the aftermath of begging a narcissist.

I disagree. The club just didn't want to pay his salary and Ronaldo refused a pay cut.

He wants to leave but wants us to pay him off. If we didn't have to pay him anything he wouldn't be here now.
