I'm a bit lost when it comes to his lost child. The club allowed him to take a break when it happened and his poor behavior started way before April 2022.

Whenever it becomes a topic, I'm completely lost.
the issue is while his daughter was apparently sick, he used that time to try and force his way out of the club.

He wonders why the club weren’t full of sympathy? I bet they had their doubts whether it was even true or not at that stage.

It seems as though their relationship has been tainted from the start and he should move on.

If you play Ronaldo up top then you won't win the WC.
We can play Felix or Jota Up top and still won’t win the WC.

Hell you can throw Haaland or Harry Kane their and we still won’t win it.

What’s your point ?

The true north.
Get rid. Shame he hasn't embraced this last opportunity in his career to be a leader and improve a team. Not surprising though, given how much of a POS he's always been.

Simply indefensible and he has to be toast now. Goodbye and thanks for the memories, but it didn't have to end this way.

My point, seeing you can't see it, is that Ronaldo is finished as a player.

I think Ronaldo is hoping naive as feck fans believe his concern is about the state of the club, rather than himself and solely himself. The training facilities were the same last Summer, why not instantly say they need upgrading etc? Why wait until you’ve become a bench player?

I think the owners have made some horrendous decisions, but I can’t lie when I see Ronaldo spouting untruths just because I think they’ve done a shite job as owners.
It’s almost as if you feel the need to discredit everything he’s said then. I suspect the stuff about standards and facilities is true, I also don’t think the club forced him out as it doesn’t add up. I don’t agree with attacking the manager in any way at all.

you don’t have to subscribe entirely to me ne side or another and agree with it all or disagree with it all. That’s not how it works.

You should really tone down the ridiculous bias. We get it, he's your nation's hero.

I'm sorry but he's also a massive cnut, always has been.
Yes I should not have a different opinion then because it’s automatically wrong. This feels like a leftis debate through and through.

Pretty much this. You've got to be a bit of a fan boy wrong'un to still be team Ronaldo right now.

He had 2 amazing seasons for us, yet people treat him like God. Likes of Rooney, Cantona, Scholes, Ole, Yorke, Giggs, Keane, Neville etc etc deserve way more admiration.

I find the idea that people not only accept but agree with his alleged statement about the facilities, baffling. Unless the man is blind and can't see that he is in a revamped dressing room at carrington and Old Trafford or that there are litteral new buildings that were there in 2009, there is no way to explain his claims.
To be fair I remember there has been report last season with him moaning about old swimming pool facilities at Carrington, causing potential health hazard. The club has then followed up with renovation/improvement works after he had made such complain. It is not something totally out of the blue for this time only.

Barcelona, Atleti, PSG, Chelsea, Sporting. Anyone of those will do
Barca have Lewandowski. Won't touch him. He won't want to ruin his Madrid legacy with a move to Barca or Atletico.

PSG zero chance with Neymar, Messi and Mbappe.

Chelsea is a distinct possibility but he's not playing in the UCL next season.

A move to Sporting and he is never playing in the UCL again.

Not a chance.

Not a single chance.

Neymar is in the form of his life, Messi is playing well and so too is Mbappe.

Not a chance. They've passed up on him repeatedly.
Some of these teams are going to be filing restraining orders against Ronaldo and Mendes if they keep knocking at their door.

Finished as a player ? Hardly

Finished as a key player in a CL of league title competing team in the EPL? Yes I agree. He’s also 38 so it’s natural. I’m not debating that at all actually.

The point people are making, which is a fact, is the facilities are currently being upgraded and plenty of work has been already completed.

well we can only go by what he’s said so far, assuming that part of the story is the truth. I don’t really believe a word he says though

The overwhelming reason Portugal won’t win the World Cup is because we have one of the worst coaches in the tournament who barely had us qualify despite our wealth of talent.
Good for Ronaldo. Any good coach would undoubtedly bench him. ;)

Any coach who doesn’t realise that playing a geriatric who can’t run channels, link play, run in behind or press means that team will never challenge must be very shit. Totally agree with you.

I still stand by my belief that City never wanted him and it was never an option for him. It was a fictional story made to force us to action.
From Spain it appeared something very solid, way more solid than De Jong going to United by the way, but either way it does show the lack of direction of a club such as Manchester United.

Has everyone forgotten how he behaved the last time he tried and failed to force a move away? Not just the ‘slave’ thing, but how he acted throughout the first third or even half of the 08/09 season? Kicking out at opposition players, throwing a tantrum after being substituted, there was even one game where he basically substituted himself by just walking off. And his form was shite as well. And that was at a time when we were PL and CL Champions, managed by his supposed mentor and father-figure! Anyone claiming he has no form for being a petulant dickhead when he doesn’t get his way is just a delusional fanboy unfortunately.

No, the club clearly needs to spend big money on Carrington and Old Trafford, he’s not wrong there. Even the muppets upstairs appear to realise this since the protests with lots of improvements and planning permissions going in. I have posted this several times but with the proviso that Ronaldo is saying this stuff now, rather than last season, because last season he was a guaranteed starter and had CL football.

Making out like nothing has changed though is completely untrue.

All I’m stating is what is true, and what aint.

I haven’t watched any clips or read the article in the Sun. Can anyone who has done their due diligence explain what Ronaldo’s moaning about? Has he actually come out and said he should have got more minutes than he has? Or is there something else bothering him? Hard to work out from the snippets so far. If he really thinks his performances this season have deserved more game time that means he is unbelievably deluded.

Ronaldo wouldn't want to ruin his legacy? That's a good one, considering the bloke was 10 minutes away from joining City.

And why do people believe he's still manager ? No, you barely qualified because Ronaldo ruins your team and your coach is forced to start him and you know this deep down but again you'll see this eventually and your view of Ronaldo being this heavenly angel that can do no wrong will change.

It's like when Ricardinho decided to retire to let your youngsters shine. Ronaldo will never take a back seat, as long as he is playing football he will not accept the bench.

It's entitlement on an absolutely massive scale. It's like a parent who believes their brilliant but lazy kid can do no wrong and kicks off when they are left out of something.

Ronaldo can say what he wants. Has City ever said that? I just don't see it - Pep doesn't do superstars and individuals at all. Especially one that doesn't work hard off the ball. It's the same as the Pogba going to City story, really hard to believe

Hardly???
His movement is finished completely .
His shooting on goal has become erratic.
He's 38 and barely able to stand tall in the ground without falling on the floor a thousand times.

He feels disrespected and betrayed by certain United folks, including ETH. He also thinks club is rotten. And he is being made a villain.

To get more information, you need to see the full interview on Piers Morgan onlyfans.

I think it hurts more becuase he chose to do this on fecking Piers Morgan’s show… like why?! That alone is enough to leave a bad taste. Anyway let this be a lesson to us all. A perfect example of why you never get back with an Ex.

He doesn’t want to be here, doesn’t look like the club really need him going forward and although it’s a sad end to the relationship these things happen I’ll always remember the great times and what he did for us but right now I don’t really care if he leaves.

You think Portugal barely qualified because of Ronaldo and not the coach?

Did you not see the game he Spain in the nations league where we only needed a draw vs the worst Spain team in years at home and Fernando santos decided to defend for 90 minutes only to concedes at the very end like the loser coach he is?

Oh wait no I’m sorry or was it ronaldo who made that decision?

Ronaldo couldn’t give a shit about Real Madrid. He joined them because they are the biggest club in the world, not because he has some magic affiliation with them. Ronaldo has no allegiances, he cares about what’s best for Ronaldo.
