Seriously?

I’ve been at training grounds for League of Ireland clubs, operating on a fraction of City’s budget and they have dedicated 7v7 and 9v9 pitches permanently marked out for their younger teams.

Visited Benfica’s academy pitches once (which were unbelievably fancy) and they were the same.
Yeah.
The ones my sons trained on have been marked out by cones from bigger pitches. They do have an indoor pitches designed for kids but United prefer training kids in grass.

So the latest clip (just on TalkTV now) explains something: he didn't do the pre-season because his 3 month old baby daughter had bronchitis and was in Hospital - but he alleges that the club (he mentions the Club President and Sporting Directive) didn't totally believe him.

If true, that is not great from United.... Souness now saying United will deny this, they have to.

So that was why he left the stadium against valladoid when subbed off?

Refused to play against Spurs and left the stadium.

Gave an interview and openly said he disrespects the manager.

Told the team doctors he was sick so as not to be involved in our last 2 matches only to be doing an interview with piers Morgan!

Ronaldo is not bigger than the club. Even if the club makes certain decisions that good to you, there are better ways to handle things. He is contracted to the club and to be honest owes this club.

When he was at Juventus, how many media houses was reporting about him? The English media made him the diva he is today and I am very sure he will now lose that.

If he doesnt accept mutual termination then he can rot in the reserves for the last 6 months of his career. And I do mean the last 6 months.
Totally agree mate. The brass bollocks on this cnut if this is true.

But you just said they don’t have purpose built pitches? They use a larger pitch and mark out a smaller one on it with cones?

Totally agree that age appropriate pitch size is important but every club does that. How are City’s pitches different? Not being an arse. Genuinely curious here.
He plays for city as well, who do.

Glazer section quotes tonight apparently. Imagine these will be much more fan-friendly.
He could redeem himself yet if he really calls them out properly, I won't hold my breath though, as I'm not sure there is anything in it for himself to do this.

I really don’t get this. He says they didn’t kind of believe him - then Piers says they didn’t believe you and he responds by saying they did believe him. Weird!
Yeah, just not in the way he wanted which I assume is by sobbing or something?

Yeah.

So is there any way that City’s pitches for underage teams is different to those at other clubs? I’m curious because you mentioned it as a reason for their facilities being better than United?

I thought there might be some mad cutting edge shit about optimal grass length, or some sort of artificial surface you can’t get anywhere else.

Is it really just using smaller pitches for younger teams?

Yeah you're right. So we're apparently forcing him out of the club but at the same time didn't let him leave. Now the management kind of didn't believe him but at the same time did believe him.

It’s nonsense. He missed the entire pre-season and I’m sure if he needed longer he could have it. From the outside looking in, club and manager were very understanding at a time where he was whoring himself out to other clubs in the media..

It's heavily dedicated to youth football. I'd say close to 3/4 of the complex is designed for ages from under 6 to under 21.
The pitches are designed to get the best out of each age group. They have classrooms dedicated to youth football with state of the art technology to help the kids develop on and off the pitch.

Their gym sh*ts all over Uniteds. The equipment is similar but the set up is very different. It's hard to explain but it feels more professional.
You can tell the entire complex cost alot of money. It really is incredible.

Even their 7k stadium is as impressive as any I've seen.
It cost 200m quid, so hardly suprising

And there there was some dodgy deal with the land between the council and Abu Dhabi if I remember right.

No other club is pumping 200m quid + without an absolute bottomless pit of money. That’s an oil club thing.
He really doesn't know when to shut up, does he?

it's the same dude who aggressively tried to leave all summer and at the same time laments that the club wants to get rid of him. Flawless logic.

Not every great player misbehaves. Having an ego does not mean that you are a petulant man child.

It's not about misbehaving. It's w out disrespect! Wanting to destroy what someone is trying to build. We are now looking like a properly ran club and Ronaldo disrupts because he is scared of being left behind

He didn't go to preseason because of his newborn daughter being sick BUT he said he wasn't going to return to Man Utd on the 2nd July he wants to leave: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ldo-tells-manchester-united-he-wants-to-leave

His words and timeline are just not consistent.

He's using his newborn daughter to vilify United. I'm very sure if his daughter was in hospital a week United would have said it's fine we understand.

He literally said in July he didn't want to play for United again.

I have said it before and I will say it again I seriously worry about how he will deal with not playing football. He needs the adoration like a drug.

We let him stay in Portugal all summer so we did say it's fine we understand.

They let Victor Lindelof have time off when his baby was sick.

You really have to ignore any portuguesy comments as they are biased as feck. Understandably to some extent, he's the biggest thing to come out of portugal since Vasco De Gama.
No. Just registered to deny this.
The majority are condemning his attitude, he's never been an hero to us and we are screwed having him at the WC with that ridiculous manager.

This is becoming a proper soap opera now. Piers is loving the attention, releasing bit by bit. Ronaldo will lose alot of fans from this I think. Even city and Liverpool fans I know find it disgraceful.

Chuck him in the under-23’s lineup every week and sack him when he no-shows. He deserved to be humiliated at this point.

Glazers Out
If Ronaldo says "good morning", I'd look up to check if the sun's out, personally. Wouldn't trust anything coming out of this scumbag's mouth.

I'm sure the people at the club had some doubts but the fact of the matter is - they allowed him to miss pre-season. So he doesn't have a leg to stand on. Only his word, which isn't worth much... "They didn't believe me."
So why did they allow you to leave then?

No.
There's other things like kids wearing EPTS and being talked through it afterwards. They also teach sports science from a young age and use technology to explain the reasons why it's important to look after your body etc. It's really hard to explain as I don't truly understand it all. I just know its having an impact on sons thinking in regards to fittness and what he eats.

As I said said. The facatalities are infistructure is incredible but United coaching team is better, by some distance as well

It's because he doesn't have any evidence so he has to change the past to gaslight the club

He was with his sick daughter in Portugal but his agent ( Mendes) was going around European clubs seeking for transfer. He came back to manutd for a meeting with his agent and manutd board including SAF. Truth be said...He wanted to leave during the summer but no big club wanted him.

One of the quotes yesterday was something along lines of people at the top don’t care, so guessing it’s more along those lines.

I’m firmly in the feck him camp, but if he calls out the glazers on the way out the door then that works for me.

No. They have large pitches coned off to make them the right size.
I can only go off Wikipedia but it says Carrington has 14 pitches in total, of varying sizes. Which I have to say sounds much more realistic than staff coning off full size pitches everyday.

12 are grass, using the same grass as Old Trafford. All with irrigation, under soil heating etc.

He has completely destroyed all his history with the club. Fans won't be singing Viva Ronaldo after this for sure.

Other players we consider as legends would never do something this shameful.

It's obvious what happened. ETH quite rightly decided that the team plays better without Ronaldo as a focal point, as backed up by almost every related metric this season. Ronaldo cant handle it...its nothing more, nothing less.
That's everything in a nutshell.

Spot on. There's no way it only cost £200m
They do pump alot of money into youth football and I can't fault the effort that goes into training these kids but in the years it's been open they've only produced one or twonplayers for the 1st team
