Gakpo to score or assist and the whole Caf to start wanking themselves silly over him
Not for me. Great game. That VAR has certainly taken the shine off of a very good game for England. At least it really doesn't matter at this point.
like almost every other World Cup thenI expect England to top the group and then get knocked out by the first decent team they face after that.
If this is the hill you choose to die on, you're most welcome to do it!Irony is brilliant.
Keep grabbing on that train mate, don't let go.![]()
I am fine here, I am not the one with an agenda. Cheers though. If this is the hill you choose to die on, you're most welcome to do it!
That's in line with my second point. I've never seen him play well, I post it quite regularly here. Always seems to have good games when I don't watch. Just one of those players I've never seen play well. He's played extremely well in the first half.
Memphis isnt fully fit and is the main striker.Vincent Janssen and Steven Bergwijn is the best frontline the Netherlands can come up with for a World Cup?
Jesus Christ, international football really is just cack now, isn't it?
Yeah was the Rob Green classic. 2010 though (08 was the Euros that England didn’t qualify for). Not going to get carried away with the result but definitely enjoyed the game. Look good going forward. Maguire looks a different player for England. Is Pickford really the best England have at No1? Can’t wait for the next game. Our last game against USA in the WC was awful. Germany 2008 I think.
that's how it starts, but you'll all be losing your shit when you don't even make the quarter finals.Great win for England. I think we are one of favourites for WC now (even though the opponents is very weak)
Yeah it wasn't quite the Mount masterpiece, and he did go quiet in the second half but I would say that was a good game from him. I think his best position is an 8 in a 433, which is what he played today. I don't think the back 3 that both Southgate and Chelsea have been playing has helped him flourish. That's in line with my second point. I've never seen him play well, I post it quite regularly here. Always seems to have good games when I don't watch. Just one of those players I've never seen play well.
I've been saying for as long as I can remember that Pickford is so not the best England have. Pope is way better and so is Henderson (but you're not allowed to say that here so I won't)Not going to get carried away with the result but definitely enjoyed the game. Look good going forward. Maguire looks a different player for England. Is Pickford really the best England have at No1? Can’t wait for the next game. Our last game against USA in the WC was awful. Germany 2008 I think.
Knife stabbed through the skull.Netherlands next. First team we'll be seeing in the tournament that has a chance at winning the competition.
Should be interesting.
Still though... England brought Rashford, Wilson, Grealish and Foden off of the bench. It's a massive gulf in forward quality.Memphis isnt fully fit and is the main striker.
Oh yeah, people wanting the best for the club they support is definitely an "agenda" and something I can agree with. Cheers!I am fine here, I am not the one with an agenda. Cheers though.

I think Gareth sees him as a Henderson replacement when he plays a midfield three. Do the grunt work that Foden/Maddison/Grealish won't give in that CAM spot.To be honest I get the impression Mount is in the side more for everything other than his ability in the final third or on the ball. He's Southgate's safety net in midfield.
I mean, you have to compare the two leagues. The Premier League is so far ahead of the Eredivisie.Still though... England brought Rashford, Wilson, Grealish and Foden off of the bench. It's a massive gulf in forward quality.
Yes you’re right 2010 it was. That Rob Green incident was a proper head in hands moment. Did he ever play for England again after that?Yeah was the Rob Green classic. 2010 though (08 was the Euros that England didn’t qualify for).
Yeah, fair enough, but even with him, it just feels like we're far from the days of them having a Van Basten/Bergkamp/Van Nistelrooy/Van Persie up top.Memphis isnt fully fit and is the main striker.
I'm looking forward to see how Gakpo and FDJ play.![]()
The Dutch really love their CBs
