Have to go all in no holds barred this winter. Can't believe we had a free run at him in the summer and did nothing.

Price just went up...

Ironically his crossing ability has been the best thing he's showcased today yet he ends up scoring on the receiving end of one

His off ball movement has been very good

He is not bad but he would be complete waste of money. We have shit load of left wingers and we have Bruno (and Eriksen) on no10.

Good player. But not a center forward. He is a left winger and on the wing he lacks a bit of speed. Is he better than Sancho or Garnacho? I don't think. Utd needs a true striker, not Gakpo.

Goal aside he’s looked poor. Certainly not worth going ‘all in no holds barred’ for. Would be a decent squad player, nothing more.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
I like him. Not sure I’m buying this narrative that we’re total idiots for not spending 40m on him after already spending 220m in the summer and now he’s so good we’ve totally missed out. People sure do love to moan. He’s definitely a good player - very much on the fence about whether he’s good enough for where we want to be though.

He's a good player but won't change anything for us in attack except more depth, we need better quality than that.

Yes i agree. An option to buy and could develop but not a 'must buy if available' like Bellingham or FdJ

FDJ is only a must buy for us because we have a manager who can get the best out of him.

He hasn't shown enough at Barca to be considered a 'must buy' for anyone else IMO

You dont watch Barca at all. So sick of people spouting this bs about Frenkie. First 2 seasons he was the best of the team with Messi. This year its okayish.
Deffo worth 80mil.

Way better than 95% of the midfielders I see week in week out in the PL.

Apologies for offending an Ajax fan by having a different opinion...

I watch Barcelona and Madrid most weeks since I have BeIN and I simply don't see this 'better than 95% of PL midfielders' player that you see. He definitely has his moments and ability but the consistency hasn't been shown there week in and week out yet.

If it was then Xavi would've never accepted the club trying to push him out while signing other players at his position, keeping a washed up Busquets in the XI and elevating youngsters ahead of him. He'd be a nailed on starter if he truly was that sort of player you describe.

Today was a good summation of what he's been with Barca. He's capable of moments of magic on the ball but he didn't have a strong match. Lost possession often and missed good chances earlier. It took Kouyate getting injured, by his doing, for him to really get the chance to make his mark. The midfield battle was tilted towards Senegals favor before that injury

Sorry, I’m just really grumpy about our performance today.
If you watch Barca weekly you cant deny that FdJ has been absolutely priceless at Barca the first 2 seasons. He was their mvp together with Messi.
Xavi wanted to play with his 3 Spanish favorites but they cant handle it and FdJ brings the needed balance. If you do your research on how Barca fans see FdJ (reading comments on papers and reddit) you will see he is the most valued player now together with Pedri.
FdJ normally performs like a beast for the NT but today it was an average performance (besides the beautiful assist). FdJ is exactly what is needed next to Casemiro and he is way better than most midfielders in the PL.

On topic: I really hope Gakpo wont be signed by UTD as he’s not a striker.

He's like Thomas Muller, excels at nothing and looks stiff yet pops in with important contributions. Clever footballer.

Important goal, but anonymous. He played in midfield though and he's not a midfielder. He is strong, fast, has a good cross and is a goalscorer. Let's put him in mid field.

Silly Van Haal.

Well taken goal and he'll grab headlines for that, but otherwise I didn't see much to impress me really. Whole Netherlands team didn't really perform for most of the game.

Other than those very nice corners and the goal, he's like VDB on that SS role. But he's on unfamiliar role, so need to see more of him.

So all we hear is we need goals
He scores every game but we can't use him?

I understand what people mean about needing a specialist striker but if he's what we can get until summer I'd say go for it (especially at rumoured price)
