It's gonna be minority sale to raise capital. This is gonna be Ronaldinho, Sneijder and Fabregas rolled into one level of disappointment if that's what this is

I hope they sell but I'm also worried about who they'll sell to. It could make or break us.

Hey @crossy1686 anything on the NYSE? Price has gone up high.
It's all going off today!

Had a quick look and there was a huge pop on the news (which is expected when something like this is announced).

It's traded within a range since the news originally popped and went as low as 12 on the earnings report, but it's held strong, which suggests they've been in negotiations with 3rd parties the entire time but they obviously have to sign a 'do not disclose' agreement beforehand. This is probably how SKY got ahold of the news also, someone is trying to force their hand into a sale on the low side.

Didn’t something similar happen a few years ago. There was a story a few months back about them looking for investment. And considering selling partial ownership but that person or persons being silent partners. Ie the Glazers stay in control.

I imagine this is something similar and there is no intention to sell the club. Just someone twisting the story of “looking for investment” in to selling it. What’s his face even came out not long ago and said he spoke to the Glazers and they had no intentions of selling. So I’ll chalk this up to BS.

I think it’s best to wait until the announcement on Tuesday, to get a clear understanding of what’ll happen next.

Why, because he requires hardwork and determination from his workers? A leader not settling for mediocrity is what we need.
He would probably sack Luke Shaw for tracking back quick enough, on a serious not the likes of Musk need to stay the feck away.

Good points. I just got a feeling of hubris. But that's probably a normal assumption when it comes to these species.

Like I said I know nothing about him. The anyone competent will do was just my own personal commentary.
Yeah, agreed. We just need the debts cleared and we're self-sustainable. Also, I'd hope it's someone who is keen to have the fans onboard from the get go.

They did a stock market share sale with non voting stock.

You trying to convince us of this or yourself? You seem desperate for this to be the case oddly.
Couldn't give a shit if a random person on the internet is convinced or not. I don't believe in the Easter bunny either.

Hope this is true. And hope it ends up being a big money buyer. We're going to need deep pockets if we want to see this team back on top in any sort of sustainable model.

There was something else mentioned not long ago, not those stock market share sales. I’m sure Knight or whatever his name mentioned it in some interview he gave upon speaking to them about buying the club. He was offered a stake in the club but no actual power.

Leader who is doing ad hoc decisions? And who puts his nose in everything? No thanks.
In football he would be recipe for disaster

Bit of a difference between a fruit loop saying he’s going to buy the club without any actual funds on hand and Sky News’ main city editor, closely followed up by most major news outlets running it.
