Dreadful for 30 minutes. ridiculously slow to the point of boredom but Kane showing what United are missing in a No.9 - absolutely never going to miss, Martial and Rashford might well have done. Great break by bellingham, taking players on and releasing at just the right time.

No chance of beating France

This England team really are like Ole's United. Absolutely lethal in periods of a match but also absolutely dire for large parts too.

Good for England.

Hope the expected happen in the rest of games so we can have Argentina vs Netherlands, France vs England, Croatia vs Brazil, and Portugal vs Spain.

All of them great matches

Or some of you are being a bit too giddy?
Nah Bellingham has been excellent. The rest of the team quite poor. France will annihilate us. Maguire v Mbappe will just be cruel. Donkey sanctuaries around the world will be on high alert.

kane is playing well too.

Don't forget it was his pass to bellingham that opened up senegal.

I don't like him in that "false 9" role, but its been effective today.

If Gareth gets it right they should concede the ball to France and pick them apart on the counter

We did have 65% of the ball.

But I suppose people see what they want to see.
We beat Liverpool earlier this season and they had 70% possession. Utd still deserved to win that game

Those first 35 mins, youse were 2nd best

Not sure why Sako was picked ahead of Rashford - done nothing as far as I can tell

Fear for Senegal here. It could get messy as they look for more goals and succumb to the counter.

senegal are absolute clowns at the back. Opened up like a $2 whore.

This is easy. Right from the start we dominated.

Rest the players for france.
What nonsense  You didn't dominate anything for most of the half. You scored the 1st goal and Senegal fell apart afterwards. They had been the best side by far before that and should have been 2 goals up

Those chances for Senegal screwed them over. Gave them the illusion they might actually open england up and outplay them, and left themselves open in turn

This is why i said england were a bad matchup for them

I completely disagree. I don't think England are a good matchup for France, you have weapons that France will struggle with. And Bellingham hasn't been excellent, no one in that game has.

Senegal had that once chance and spent most of the game pressing and chasing the ball

A lot of slow passes amongst the back line. Even with their chances, we largely had control of the game but it was all just a bit slow and ponderous, not going anywhere.

One day Pickford will brake someone's leg in half. Again he did his trademark move; both studs up in player's legs.

Do people realise that if Senegal scored the first goal it the. goes to a goal kick, so the passage of play that led to the second chance, aforementioned as a ‘goal’, would never have happened?

People going on like Senegal dominated is hilarious. They had a decent first 30 minutes in which they generated one solid chance.

What chances did England have before the goal? They spent most of the time passing to each other in their own half and regularly lost the ball the few times they progressed to the midfield.
