Seen a few reports saying he chose Chelsea over us and arsenal. That’s a load of crap. Us and arsenal decided to be sensible and not spend what they wanted for 6 months. Chelsea would have been the last team he chose if all 3 of us offered what they wanted.

if he does then there will be plenty of teams in for him in the summer (or Atletico may just keep him)
Seems like his relationship with Simeone completely broke down. If he does well then probably similar to Real Madrid's Odegaard loan deal to Arsenal, if not then just like Ceballos sent back to Madrid.

There’s no option or clause to give exclusivity to Chelsea
if he does well then it means he is a good fit for the team, right? Chelsea is a big club located in London and they paid their players really well. Why go else where unless it is Real Madrid, Barcelona, City or PSG comes calling.

There’s a rumour going around that Atleti are looking at Auba to replace Felix, around £10m

Ornstein is the one who said it. I guess he’s a tier one when it suits and just talking crap when it doesn’t yeah? :D

Because that’s not how football works

Yesterday Felix was still the best player Man Utd can get to challenge for top 4 or title. Today he is a flop. I hope he finally plays to his full potential in Chelsea.
Probably not a flop, but not great, 3 to 5 goals, 3 to 5 assists.

Would've been better for us since we lack players in that position and Chelsea are stacked. I'd rather have havertz in my team though.

yep. That’s why no one else was interested

oh and no option to buy
I am actually happy about that last part …

Although …. It worked out well with Zakaria. Nobody likes a positive Chelsea story, but 25m could be a steal.

Maybe Felix will shock me. But I just don’t see it happening. If we aren’t going to play at the edges of angering everyone over FFP powering through the Enzo deals and others then .. that’s just some money. It is t going to keep us from doing anything, so it really does t matter.

My opinion has been pretty consistent. What does my opinion have to do with one of the other 10000 users on this site?

Can't blame us for not paying that, atleti was waiting for someone daft enough to pay that and Chelsea bit the bullet.

No it's not. It's a fee of 10m for half a season which is equivalent to 80m for a player on a 4 year deal. Its actually better than buying as it's effectively a probation period. Something we could have done with given the money we've wasted over the years.
you can sell the player at the end of 4 years if you buy him.

Felix is joining Chelsea for 8 millions. A player Ten Hag wanted and we could have and should have gotten for him.

Feck Glazers.

Felix is world-class. Those stats mean nothing. He is in a team that plays anti-football under a manager who refuses to use him properly. Saying that Felix is borderline flop is not understanding anything about football.

Have you not been watching Chelsea recently? Havertz is so woeful, similar to Lingard at his worst, so many backwards, sideways passes

Suddenly feeling like we have missed out when I see posts like this. Can imagine Goldbridge probably had meltdown earlier too but hey it means more viewers.

Goldbridge, and I quote, said he would have a meltdown if Glazers were not selling but won't since they are

Apparently not to Qatar according to Ziegler so the speculation goes on then
Who else will buy this mess for 6 billions? Our finances are dumpster fire, club management is a disaster, infrastructure is rotting.

World economy is in deep trouble. Amazon, Tesla, and other big tech companies lost half of their value, and the rest are not doing well either. Nobody is going to gamble 6 billions on United, unless it is oil money. And Glazers are greedy enough that I don't think they will sell at all unless they get what they want. If oil money doesn't come through I think there will be no sale any time soon. It's unlikely that people think sale is forgone conclusion

Maybe Dubai will decide to make their rumoured interest concrete, perhaps Bahrain or Kuwait are going completely under the radar

Chelsea was sold for $3B…. United is worth 4.5 according to experts. There are investors willing to put that kind of money. The Glazers will have take it. It’s a massive gamble for them to hold on any longer.

I am wondering how much attention people actually pay to tactics and personnel in football. Their isn't a lineup of attacking players Chelsea have available right now that even remotely works, and now they add someone whos record return in the spanish league is 8 goals. They are of absolutely no threat whatsoever in their current form, that may change during the off-season if the manager gets given time to implement his ideas.

Benfica are legitimately a genius club when it comes to selling players. They have made close to 300 million euros selling Felix, Nunez, Semedo, Renato Sanchez and Victor Lindelof.
And it looks like they will Trump those deals when they sell Enzo to Chelsea!

So he's basically Mbappe shut down by Simeone and Santos? or maybe your definition of world class is very low.

Not this season really, but ETH might be able to work with him and coach him properly.

I hope so! Very hard to predict what greedy, stupid owners will do. These Glazer kids are no geniuses. Their daddy masterminded our takeover, these leeches are just sucking the blood off of us.

Mbappe is best of his generation and a possible legend. That is way too high of a bar for "world class". My definition of "world class" is somebody who is good enough for any top team in top European leagues and Champions League. Felix, under proper manager (ironically, probably under EtH) definitely has talent to be that. He is far better than Sancho.

“My best position is as a second forward” Felix told reporters; “playing as a no. 10, with a man in front of me”

So …. a second player that plays a position no one uses anymore? Great.

Yes, probably Mbappe is too much, but I think Felix is not world class. Has the potential? well maybe, under certain conditions, but not atm.
For example I don't consider Rashford world class for example and Felix has still yet to peak as Rashford has.

Little frustrating Erik has lost out on yet another target, however at least he didn't join an Arsenal brimming with confidence which is something

That is fair. Felix hasn't done enough to be world class, yet. But he is young and has clear potential to become one, under proper manager if he can play several seasons in a big club at the level he was playing at Benfica.

Him and Bruno together doesn't fit really. Unless he has great potential as a CF which remains to be seen - one has to be able to deal with the extra physicality of the PL while adapting to that role.
