Manchester United got their deal sheet in for Marcel Sabitzer before the 11pm deadline. Now they just need to complete the formalities. (Source transfer ticker of the Guardian - like that they have another 2 hours to complete if I understand that rightly)

I don’t think we can announce him until NYSE opens since we are a listed company?

Cool. Don’t know much about this guy but he seemed really impressive for Leipzig against us. All over the place, lots of authority, technically very well rounded.

I don't believe this is true. We announced Weghorst on 13 January 2023 at 9pm UK time, which is after the bell closes on Wall Street.

Perfect signing.

A midfielder who can play as an 8 at a good level, but also has the capacity to play as a 6 or a 10. Has decent technical ability, so can hold on to the ball at a premier league level, whilst being a box to box midfielder with a good positional sense and off the ball movement. He also played in a 2 a lot at Bayern, so will be used to this set up.

He is a perfect example of what our depth should like throughout the squad imo. A player capable of playing multiple roles at a good level, providing a limited drop off when the first xi player is injured or suspended.

If we bring him along full time in the summer, we could have a squad featuring Casemiro, Eriksen, Fred, Sabitzer and a new CM, all as options for our two midfield positions.

We would also have adequate cover for Bruno. For me, we would then be able to put all our focus on signing the new CM mentioned above and a striker, knowing that the rest of our squad can be covered.

Yeah had a shocker in the 5-0 thrashing at Old Trafford but different story in Germany

Who is better fit for our CM out of Bellingham and De Jong do you think seeing as that Argentinian couldn't wait until end of the season
