Just a quick reminder that Ronaldo played 346 games for us with 145 goals, Rashford is on 341 games with 117 goals scored... The records aren't too dissimilar when you also take into account the team Ronaldo played in the the teams rashford has played in.

Read on Twitter Rashford just got his goal back? Could be nonsense but apparently Opta confirmed it

Where are you reading that it was changed?

Everywhere that you look he's still credited as the 2nd scorer, rightfully so.
It was noted just after half time (or half time) that it was changed and credited as OG officially and taken from him

Hopefully changed to him

On the Carabao Cup website

And when you look it up on the old Google

Maybe it was changed after? Hadn't noticed that they changed it to an OG before but everywhere that you look now he's credited with the 2nd

Google has it now credited to Rashford as it should be.

What a run he's had, fantastic comes short describing it.

Whoscored had it as an OG before but have changed it to a Rashford goal now

I know you’re all being dicks but doesn’t Opta only use official stats in their data? I know they contact different organisations before they confirm because of the slight tweet in rules different leagues can have.
Just saw it pop up on a few accounts that usually have early team news so thought it had some credibility

Do we think he meant that flick to Wout? I assumed it was a fluke at the time but watching it back it looks like incredible skill.
The one with his heal in the build up? That was definitely a skill done on purpose. Beautiful.

With that, it officially gives him 25 goals through 38 appearances this season...

Quite the return already and we've got over 2 months worth of league matches left and potentially a lot more cup ones left.

He could very realistically hit 35-40 this season which I don't think anyone would've ever predicted before the season.

Truly blossomed into our talisman this season and especially once no.7 left

Hopefully, would be great to see him credited with a cup final goal

I didn’t think he had the best of games today. But feck it, we won and he scored.

It’s just that we rely on this man so much I’m worried that if his form starts to dip our season could unravel.

Great news for him. That means Wout gets the assist too? I think he deserves it :D

As others have said, he could realistically get 35 goals for the season which I don't think anyone could have predicted after last year (and the final months of the season before that)

He didn’t look fully fit to me. I think he got outsprinted by Schar at one point!
This was him on Thursday night

Its why I was a little surprised he started but not shocked being a cup final. The fact he still had a winning impact while injured speaks volumes.

I do hope that he gets some rest against West Ham next week before Anfield

I hope he gets 2-3 days off from training too to be honest. Him and Bruno as well. Play others in the FA Cup and keep Rashy and Bruno fresh for Anfield. They’ve clocked in too many games and miles already.

Great news :D
Didn‘t have his best game but was still involved in both goals.

It depends what the injury was. If its juat some swelling then it shouldn't be a major problem

But yeah I'd be quite happy if we rested everyone against West Ham. Something has to give eventually and we've got a domestic cup in the bag now. We don't have to throw the game but there's no real reason to gamble anything on it.

If he's carrying an injury, hopefully we give him the night off vs West Ham.

His 19/20 and 20/21 seasons got derailed near the end by injuries and carrying knocks. Don't want him playing half fit for the rest of the season and getting dogs abuse for any downturn in form.

He would have been on crutches or in a protective boot if there was any real concern.
