I have little sympathy for Disney, after all, they are a mega corporation who has donated plenty to republicans over the years, probably donated a fair bit to DeSantis as well.
Now, why don't they just pack up and leave if they feel they are being harassed?
"Building a new theme park will be expensive", oh please, tax payers already takes the burden for states having sports stadiums built and so on, surely they would have no shortage of offers to move their operations to a different state then, now, i don't encourage this type of behaviour, but thats the world we live in.
I don't know the details, so, since Disney doesn't appear to care much, is this mostly just performance-art by Desantis then?

Now that Disney really isn’t taking that much of a hit, it’s mainly performance art by the wee man.
It will be quite something hard for DeSantis to explain to his voters after Disney leaves the state and thus drops thousands on unemployment in favor of a different state or even a different country.
Disney isn’t going anywhere, it’s too entrenched in central Florida. Florida as a state would be able to absorb the loss after a period of time, but CF would be irreparably harmed for potentially decades. It would be too much logistically & from a cost perspective for Disney to move; DeSantis gets to play big man while everyone knows Disney is getting off with a slap on the wrist. @Morty_ was spot on with his performative art assessment.
His voters? They won't care, they will simply think he has owned the woke left if that happens, this is Florida.
