Have gone through the remaining fixtures and i reckon both Newcastle and Liverpool will finish on 71 points. So if I'm correct on those predictions Man United will need at least 22 points in remaining fixtures to get top 4 (taking the poor scoring difference into account)
3 Premier league games without Casemiro is troublesome as simply no like for like replacement for him. A number of tough away games to play yet and how much of hindrance will it be to stay in the Europa league? Trying to win on a Sunday against rested team is rarely easy.
If Liverpool carry on at their current points per game rate they'll end up on 61 points, other than against us I'm not seeing any real improvement from them now, if there is it'll be by a few points, and not 10, they also have City, Chelsea, and Arsenal to come in their next 3 PL fixtures.
Newcastle if they continue as their current season form would end on 67 points, they have United, Arsenal, Spurs, and Chelsea still to play, and after playing above themselves early in the season, seem to have been very average for a while now, today included, so it's hard to see them improving on what they have done already.
If we carry on with our current point rate we'll get 73 points, and don't have any of Liverpool, City, or Arsenal to play still, so 70 points + would seem a fairly logical return for us now, and I'd be a surprise if that's not enough for 3 rd.
