Full on Bank of America posse (Shabaz worked there for over 20 years). I thought bankers were the devil, but I doubt it will be perceived this way in this instance.
Bankers are necessary, just don't have them run the club.

I can only imagine what they are being treated to.
If we know anything about the current set up at United they will have paper plates and whatever left over Rollover Hot Dogs we have left from the last home game.

“Any ketchup?”

So IIRC the ideal owner should:

-Buy the club: ~5B
-Clear the debt: ~1B
-Remodel Old Trafford: ~1B
-Invest in the squad: ~150-200M/year?

What is your order of priorities as a United fan?

A) Get rid of the Glazers
B) Get rid of the debt
C) New Old(?) Trafford
D) A stronger team

From a business POV C and D look more important IMO, as it should allow cash flows to gradually do B. Thing is, that prevents A from happening, and the Glazers don't have the money to make C and D happening without getting into even worse debt. A real conundrum.
A and B. All day long. Absolutely the biggest thing that would get this club moving forward again.

Jassim is a banker, Hamad is a banker, Shahzad is a banker... there's only bankers in this alleged ownership hierarchy.
Right. So it will depend on who they appoint to run the club, if they buy it. Which was my point. I somehow doubt Jassim will move to Manchester to run the club.

Ratcliffe was probably hoping we'd protest against Qatari ownership so the Glazers would feel pressured to sell to him. That was the only way he was ever winning this race.

That's some delegation, as much as I believe SJR wouldn't be bad he has some opposition here.

Qatar have this if they want it, it's as simple as that

Fans who attend games regularly are more important fans. And (for obvious reasons) they will tend to be local fans too. So it's absolutely fine to argue that local fans are more important, even before you take into account what being from Manchester actually means to the club itself.
Ehhhh, as a local I disagree. This just feels like the type of stuff people tell themselves to make themselves feel good - and that's overlooking how a considerable amount of the people regularly attending games at OT are not "locals". United has long and consistently courted it's global appeal. It's core to the club and majorly responsible for the stature it has and enjoys.

This whole "X fans are more important than Y fans" is waffle

Better than our current owners who are a group of w*nkers.
Our current owners and the Qataris aren’t from Salford. We need Scholesly to step up and put a bid in. After which we should disband the entire squad because the majority of them are foreigners. Sack ETH too because he’s a Dutch cnut who’s not from Manchester.

Am I doing it right? :D

The only true owners of Utd would be the local chippy and laundrette owner round the corner from Sir Matt Busby Way. As for the players, it’s going to have to be the groundsmen. Fat Frank is decent in the hole apparently.

It really is a pathetic argument considering a lot of fans are foreigners who attend every home match. It must mean they are more important than the local fan who only watches at home because he can’t afford a season ticket.

Tbh I don't see how you can really argue that a fan who attends games regularly isn't more important than one typically watches the game on TV. One of them is paying for tickets and contributing to the actual atmosphere at the game, the other isn't.

And I say that as someone who is neither local nor a regular match-goer.

Obviously you don't need to be a local to be a regular match-goer but basic practicalities and economics mean you're obviously more likely to be.

That is some delegation that the Sheikh has sent.

I wonder if we'll see pictures of Ratcliffe and Dave Brailsford getting out their caravan tomorrow
