He bought it privately.
The point being that Mansour was always behind the takeover and Sulaiman Al-Fahim was the person who was put in charge of finding a suitable club for investment. Al-Fahim was later replaced by Kaldoon Al-Mubarak.

Yes. Point remains. Premier League is in a league of its own in regards to spending. Yet despite having 5-6 super teams that has not translated to dominance in actually winning CL on a consistent basis.
Real, PSG, Barca and Bayern might have other reasons why the dominate. Some with spending, others monopolistic.

Strange there's no mention of any financial advisors.
Thats the weird thing about Ratcliffe's contingent. Its all high-level guys to fly the flag.

I would imagine you need the domain specialists in these meetings to number crunch so that the INEOS can put a firm offer in within the next 10 days.

No matter which way you swing it, that is extremely positive!
Is it? We have spent years bemoaning jobs for the boys and how we need to let go of the old so we can move forward... Now because it's Qatar they're all allowed to come pouring back in.

We don't know his contingent though, nobody knew who Qatar was sending until they appeared.

What if This Jassim fella doesn't even exist, he's an AI model from this person does not exist? Hence why he wasn't there personally... Hmm.

Are we now heading into a new area of discussion for this thread?

What does it mean to be real, human? Does AI Jassim dream of electric sheeps? Does AI Jassim capable of making moral decisions?

For me, your football club is one that is nearby or potentiallypassed on by someone in your family.
Ah yes!! The pure blood logic. It must hurt to see bloody foreigners like Sir Alex or Cantona constantly being associated with the club. It must even hurt your insides that a bloody scouser is the top scorer of the club. When Wayne scored that overhead kick, all you wanted is to throw him out and clean the club of these mudbloods. How dare they get into a club, that was built by the locals, for the locals and of the locals.

You are getting it now.

Jim needs to take back control. Bring back Manchester back to Manchester United.
Ratty needs to get it done. The will of the top top supporters demands it.

Hopefully we will replace Jones with a T800

I'm looking forward to the investment into the stadium. Having seen what other teams have across the globe, this is the thing that excites me. Alongside the fact that winning on the pitch will be a priority and then the the business.

I can't wait.
The same thing can happen with INEOS, but yet there is a weird, unfounded narrative that they aren't worthy.

Just noticed Manchester United’s Instagram has posted some pictures of fans making their way to the ground but … nothing about fans watching on tv in other countries. Guys… is our Instagram racist?!??
Just give it up already.

If you're either..

A) ..attempting to be a wind-up, the jokes are stale mate. Nobody's going to give you the attention you crave.

B) ..serious about getting your point across about the superior fan horseshit, you just look so damn insecure man. Nothing worse than grown men acting like insecure teenagers.

This thread would be a better place if everyone muted Wumminator and moved on like I did a few weeks ago.

There’s a fan who has an apartment on the centre circle of OT. He’s been invited as a VIP to meet the Sheikhy boys. His views have been regarded as priority on the agenda. He was born in the South stand toilets when they were piss free. He went to school in the physio room. Got a degree in the old tunnel.

Interested to see what reports we get from the INEOS tour today. Probably have a full overview by tonight.

In terms of the Qatar bid the fact the leaks to the press are another bid is going in and they’ll do all it takes to get the club suggests they are front runners.

Will we get to know the other shadow bidders when they submit their official bids? How long can they stay anonymous like that?

I don't honestly think this has been much of a contest as soon as Qatar entered the bidding process? Is anyone really expecting anything but them winning at this point? Something would have to go very wrong for them not outbid whoever.

Again, this thread is so annoying

There might be an element of xenophobia/racism when it comes to the Qatar bid but for the majority (including me) there is a concern about the soul of the club being tarnished forever by links with a state that appears incompatible with their own views/beliefs.

Check out some of their replies to the below tweet. Whilst homophobia is an issue across the whole world, any time a United account posts something in support of the LGBTQ community, there are hundreds of grim responses from morons who have never stepped foot inside Old Trafford or Manchester. Would a Qatar ownership model embodden those people more? Who knows but there would certainly be pressure on those running the club to make clear what their views/beliefs are due to their closeness to those running the country back home.

All of the previous points are in no way support of Jim Radcliffe. Accusations there's a hierarchy of "top redness" when it comes to support of new/current/potential owners based on locality ignores the fact that many of those same people protested against Martin Edwards throughout the 90s.

The thing that has suggested this the most to me so far, or at least has made the most sense in terms of who might be front runners, are those stories that were posted yesterday that the Qataris are offering the Glazers the opportunity to do business with them in the future in their region, if the sale goes through. In terms of direct offer for the sale of the club I can't imagine that INEOS and Qatar are far apart in what they're offering, but if this is true I think this might skew things in favor of them.
