Vafaei is a potter but Ronnie strangled him out of the match today. Very tight snooker.

Meanwhile, this Williams Brecel match is very good. Never seen someone stroll around the table as casually as Luca.
 
Great win for Luca! :)

Played very well. And also showed good mental strength after Williams got back to 11-11.

And Neil Robertson really has a fight on his hands against Jak Jones.
 
Good to see some new faces looking good here.... but if it merely leads to Ronnie-Selby.... I just, dunno. Eh.
 
Never seen so many double reds potted before. Can count 3 this tournament so far.
 
Luca might not be practicing but at least he isn't endlessly worrying about his FPL and Chelsea on twitter all the time inbetween sessions like Robertson seems to, though it's probably not actually that much - just randomly pops up on mine all the time it seems :lol:
 
Neil Robertson for the life of me can't seem to work it out. It's baffling how he has so underachieved at Sheffield given all his titles and ability. In big trouble again 10-5 down.

Ronnie knows that it'll be a match vs Brecel but think he'd rather play him in fact go far as to say he'd be delighted it's not Williams.
 
The most crucial frame big difference overnight given all that's happened 10-6 or 11-5.
 
This performance from Vafaei is very much like ours against Liverpool. He’s stopped playing and is allowing his nemesis to humiliate him.
 
The hug at the end was nice to see. Their ''rivalry'' was just for the papers. Wasn't much in it.

Was watching Si v Milkins. Turned over after two sessions and Selby's match is still the same score as end of first session. Must have been fun.
Selby comes across nice in interviews; not like the player.
 
How many more frames do they have to play tonight ?
 
Ref will just end it early. Selby's fuming after him stepping in in that previous frame, so will milk it dry in protest.
 
I don't know the full draw but I have always felt that Allen had a world title in him so if he stays away from Ronnie it could be his year.
 
Who's this latest Chinese fella - do we finally have a prospect worth his salt?
 
One of the least exciting quarter final lineups I can remember at this tournament.

So many big players have bottled their opportunity yet again (looking at you Trump, Robertson, Murphy, even Lisowski who I think is destined to just never win anything).

Mark Allen now 0-2 down to Jak Jones as well although he has his hand on the table in frame 3.

An O'Sullivan v Allen final would be fantastic but there's a lot of snooker to be played yet.

Anthony McGill is such an incredibly hard player to get rid of at the Crucible, truly tough match player.
 
I would like to see the GOAT break the record but I must admit I would like to see Allen lift the trophy.

I thought it was just me. Seen so many shots that look nowhere near, yet they still find the pocket. Easy to say when watching on TV, mind, I can barely pot two balls in a row in real life!

As for the remaining players, I would love to see Si get to the final. He's played some brilliant stuff at times, now it's a question of whether he can continue to handle the occasion. The first Chinese player to win the World Champion as a 20-year-old debutant? Surely not, but that would be some story.
 
Is it just me or is it really difficult to follow the fixtures and results?

Is there a website for it? Dead easy with football

World Snooker data.com is what I generally use when I have to follow the scores online.

It has all kinds of sections for Calendar (upcoming schedule), Live Scores, Sessions once each tournament is underway, Matches / Draw for showing who'll play who as the tournament progresses (handy for seeing which section of the draw is tougher and what potential heavyweight clashes are ahead barring any upsets)...

think the way he plays just suits Ronnie because also doesn’t get bogged down in the tactical stuff for the majority of frames.

can just picture ronnie’s post match interview now.

Yeah I mean like, I’m pretty appy with the way I played, appy to be in the semi’s. Ya know, Luca’s obviously a really good player and he plays the game the way it should be played dya know what I mean like, he just goes out there and tries to pot some balls like it should be and that probably suited me. Just normal snooker the way it should be. It’s not like going out there wif like Peter Ebdon dya know what I mean like, sitting down for 47 minutes while Peter takes one shot dya know what I mean. I mean no disrespect to Peter like, Peter’s Peter init, god love him off the table he’s a lovely fella but on the table it’s like blimey mate, you can’t play snooker to save your life, I’ve gotta get home before July dya know what I mean.
