Why?

We want an Arse win here.
City slip and they still need to focus on 3 fronts.

Why handle them the league now?
City won't slip tomorrow. They'll most probably beat Chelsea and won't care about Brighton and Brentford games.

The Arsenal collapse isn't as enjoyable as the Liverpool collapse.. Still a smile..

I can't remember if Chelsea ever won the title while not playing. Can't be as satisfying.

Any older Man United fans remember? You lot won so many back in the day, you must've won a few while watching someone else drop points?

Had they won all the games they were leading 2-0 they still would come short. It was the direct games against city that were crucial
And that was the difference really.

As much as they have 'closed' the gap to be in the top four, they couldn't lay a finger on City. Pathetic really, when Spurs, Liverpool, United and others could.

Odegaard giving the ball away and Arsenal concede is starting to be a thing oddly.

Think first one, Oldham beat Villa to hand us the title.

It’s frustrating for us to be honest. Would have been nice if Arsenal could have taken this to the last day rather than City putting their feet up until the Cup final.

Arsenal lost 3-0 to Boro in 2001 I think which won us the title after we had beaten Coventry hours before.

Won the league when Arsenal dropped points at Highbury against Leeds. 2003 I think.

Leicester won it without playing when you guys drew with Spurs.

I think United won the 06/07 title as well when Chelsea drew with Arsenal at Emirates in the game Baptista scored?

Won it in 2007 when Chelsea dropped points at Arsenal the day after our derby win.

Oh Arsenal.
Losing today and gifting City the title would be an apt finish to their season.

I guess my post was poorly worded.

I wasn't asking for the games you won it (when not playing), I'm asking was it as satisfying a moment as when you won it at the final whistle of a game you played.

Don't mess around in this game. Fulham have an axe to grind with us, you do not want it going down to that game. Especially now Mitrovic is back.
My thinking exactly. Chelsea have been shite, let's make the scousers' last day proper miserable
Yeah, but this is the specific point I'm making!

I was saying it's a pain in the arse that they equalized because now these games mean something. I'm not advocating we rest players now, I was saying we could have if those scousers didn't score.

02/03 - Leeds handed us the title with their result at Highbury.

True, getting battered twice by City didnt help, but I reckon it was the West Ham draw was the one that killed them mentally.

The away defeat to Everton was an awful (yet entirely predictable at the time) result as well.

2003 Arsenal dropped points at home to Leeds. 2007 Chelsea drew at Arsenal and we won. I’m pretty sure 93 villa lost to Oldham and we won it that way

Yes. Of course.
