Yeah the share price is a really good sign something has happened. Insiders always want to take advantage before it becomes mainstream.

I'd imagine it's leaked out through the investment groups that a buyer has been selected and now people with capital want to take the cream off the top.

I think the Qatari businessman is congratulating SJ based on ALWTAN news, I do not think he knows any news himself. I would not take his tweet as insider news.

Picture a Utd without Glazers lads and lasses… picture it.

Savour this moment, even if it somehow goes tits up, to just be THIS CLOSE to a Utd without them again, with them properly gone. Man, what a fecking feeling.

I’m getting emotional, no sarcasm.
..only to now be replaced by a new set of equally awful cnuts.

Fun times.

Hmmm, that sounds fairly plausible. But.... I don't like it so will ignore it

Possibly but I think posts like that are the best at this stage, they have absolutely no link to sport and nothing to gain from clicks so for them to go out of their way to congratulate him he must know something

So excited now, its been a long time coming it's going to be such a great feeling when it's confirmed the scumbags are leaving.

The thing about SP is that its on relative low volume so may be someone just got sucked in or the other way to look at it is that only few have insider information.

Bottom line is too many people on twitter taking a chance, hopefully we will know soon. Our earning call is 16th June, may be we will announce something prior to that?

He's a big United fan too. Interesting that he seems to think it's trending towards the Qataris.
Faisal Islam? Or do you mean Nick Robinson? I know Robinson is a United fan, but if Islam is as well then I guess he might've been following the saga more closely than your average BBC journalist.

I'm 99% sure it is Qatar.
It's irrational to be that certain when we are dealing with the vagaries of individuals and so much black box politics. But I agree it is comfortably the more likely option and always has been given what we know. I will be quite surprised if SJR wins the auction.

Looks like it is 99.9% done now with the Qatari’s as our new owners. Just glad at long last these leeches are finally out of our club!

Big day today and it feels for real this time

I refuse to get too caught up in all this, but i really hope that something is happening this time and it's not just a dodgy bowel movement like Gerard Romero is prone too!

I reckon it is all nonsense.
Some thin after hours trading and a load of spoofers on Twitter. Not a single piece of information, report or even rumour from anyone worth listening to. It might not be nonsense, but it certainly has all the hallmarks of it. We'll see in the next few days (hopefully)...

If there's a breakthrough sure the English based journalist will publicize from their sources in the morning. Either way this has to be resolved irrespective of fans being pro Jim or pro Qatar theres mixed articles about this process interfering with the transfer dealings and that's a big disservice on ETH for the hard work he has put in.

Really seems like it’s a done deal now, exciting
What makes you think that?
Did something happen the last 24 hours?

Sorry for all the questions, this thread moves so fast and it's sometimes very hard to keep up. Did we get a promising update from a person in the know?

Not sad if the Glazers are confirmed out as owners of Utd, but grim as feck if Qatar are confirmed as new owners. Hopefully it's not true.

Sir Jim furiously calling around the hedge funds to find someone new to add to his Glazer alliance
I never thought he wanted to own this club that badly. By all accounts he didn’t address THE issue plaguing our team, debt and resorted to MAGA slogans.
