Onana would be a massive step in the right direction for us if we were to get him.
Dreary me how often do folk have to explain on here. Read the 19 times folk have explained the situation as per verified sources. Onana was not deemed libel by Uefa and they accepted it was a mistake ( his wife was pregnant mix up of packets). If Uefa thought for a minute he was guilty he would have been banned for 4 years. He was libelled for being in charge of what went into his body though and reduced it to 12 months , Onana appealed and they reduced it to 9 months. I repeat it would have been 4 years. Social media character assassinations is not a court of fact. By the way I have no vested interest whether he comes or not. He will sign for Chelsea anyhows so no point in worrying about in the long run.

Fair enough, I didn’t know that the ban was reduced. I’ve just read up on it and the story about him confusing the Furosemide for Paracetamol, I suppose that’s believable.
For what it’s worth, I think he’d be a fantastic player for us, would be a huge upgrade on De Gea.

If he’s available for €50 million which I think is around £43 million then we’d be crazy not to pay that seeing as more than half of that (£25 million at a guess) would be recouped selling Henderson and the rest is basically what we’d paying De Gea on his ridiculous wages.
I read we’d activated Heaton’s and Bishop’s options for another season plus we’ve got Vitek so between those three and Onana I think we’d be good for a year then look at back up for 2024/25 when we’ve addressed other positions.

Just watched the highlight against Milan, his left foot passing is at least a couple of levels above De Gea on his stronger foot. Carrick would be proud.
