Clearly we are not getting Kane or any big name striker so why not pay the big bucks for Onana? Could transform our build-up from the back and the way we play as a result.

Onana would be a massive step in the right direction for us if we were to get him.

Nobody care that he was banned for years for PEDs?
Thanks, that makes sense.

Makes you wonder about his character.
Dreary me how often do folk have to explain on here. Read the 19 times folk have explained the situation as per verified sources. Onana was not deemed libel by Uefa and they accepted it was a mistake ( his wife was pregnant mix up of packets). If Uefa thought for a minute he was guilty he would have been banned for 4 years. He was libelled for being in charge of what went into his body though and reduced it to 12 months , Onana appealed and they reduced it to 9 months. I repeat it would have been 4 years. Social media character assassinations is not a court of fact. By the way I have no vested interest whether he comes or not. He will sign for Chelsea anyhows so no point in worrying about in the long run.

Fair enough, I didn’t know that the ban was reduced. I’ve just read up on it and the story about him confusing the Furosemide for Paracetamol, I suppose that’s believable.

For what it’s worth, I think he’d be a fantastic player for us, would be a huge upgrade on De Gea.

Mate having trouble finding where DiMarzio has said this…looked on his Twitter and the Italian Sky Sport Twitter and found nothing. Can we trust that Inter aggregator account?
He mentioned it live on Sky Italia.

Why is every player we want to sign suddenly worth £70m and above?

Confusing the Furosemide for Paracetamol - sorry but that's BS, Furosemide is a tiny fecking tablet, that's like mistaking a 5p coin to a 50p or a dime for a quarter

At the least there will be some heart-stopping moments when Onana is across the halfway line.
After having a GK who refused to leave his six yard box to having someone like Onana doing stuff like this will give me a heart attack but I’m all for it.

But also seeing City pretty much stop pressing him in the CL final was something we desperately need especially in games where we are hanging on 1-0.

I don’t like this. His failed drug test and all the problems during the World Cup, where he was causing so much problem that he was kicked out of the National team. He has trouble written all over him.

Inter are fecked financially and absolutely need to sell players this summer.
They are broke and have a debt payment to settle or else the current owners could lose their majority ownership stake if they default. They need to move players for cash injections......
They will be this transfer window…
Inter were in financial trouble and needed money when they played hardball and got £98m for Lukaku.

Ajax
In his ajax prime he was very reliable and very good.

people point out the errors must know that he does these risky plays 40 times per game. He had quite some assists as well. Very good reaction speed, great at the ball, loads of confidence.

He messed up at ajax with his errors off the pitch. Thats a big negative about him

If he’s available for €50 million which I think is around £43 million then we’d be crazy not to pay that seeing as more than half of that (£25 million at a guess) would be recouped selling Henderson and the rest is basically what we’d paying De Gea on his ridiculous wages.

I read we’d activated Heaton’s and Bishop’s options for another season plus we’ve got Vitek so between those three and Onana I think we’d be good for a year then look at back up for 2024/25 when we’ve addressed other positions.

Heston wants to leave and Vitek is still on loan for another season. We will need to bring in Someone else.

Just watched the highlight against Milan, his left foot passing is at least a couple of levels above De Gea on his stronger foot. Carrick would be proud.

Whoever won the game
Yep he's a great keeper and we would do very well to sign him.
