as long as these parasites can suck a drop of blood or a single cent out of any fan, they'll never be removed. We need to stop them from making ANY money. A month would drive them away. What they've done to the club is unforgivable and it needs to end. Get rid of the owners, their enablers and apologist's and get someone in that can get things headed in the right direction. It's a Herculean task but this slow decay needs to be arrested and reversed.

Basically saying that a sixth bid from Jassim might be coming, based on discussions with Raine earlier today. Also Sir Jim has been talking about a 100% deal. Just rumours though, nothing at all concrete.
If the rumours of Ineos discussing a 100% deal are true, that surely must confirm that his partial bid is, in fact, dead in the water.
They are only rumours, the FTC has appealed the court ruling.There are rumours that Microsoft will close the Activision Blizzard deal next week, which is 18 months after they announced their intention to buy. A deal that is many, many orders of magnitude bigger and far more complex than the sale of the club. In fact, they would have managed to get the CMA to do a complete turnaround, which to my knowledge is unprecedented. It's been 8 months since the club was put up for sale with absolutely no indication of it concluding any time soon. If true, they are probably scrambling around trying to find investment groups to buy the minority. Only way that will be attractive is if they believe there is massive growth opportunities or Ineos commit to buying up their stocks later at a premium.

Will be interesting to see who bids first if they both come back in again. If it’s Ineos, then as you say, Qatar will just trump their bid. I suspect the Glazer’s would like Qatar to bid first, though, as they would quite likely go even higher to blow Ineos out of the water. Think this has been their game plan all along, as I stated quite recently.
I do admire you all managing to prolong this conversation without there actually being anything remotely to talk about. Just leave it until an announcement comes

Can't compare the length of time to Activision or any other deal closing. Here we are talking from for-sale announcement until deal agreement (steps 1 and 2), whereas those cases are time from deal until closing (steps 2 and 3).
Also, we generally don't know how long the earlier step takes since those processes are generally done quietly, for example as far as I'm aware we don't know how long Activision was talking to Microsoft or anyone else about a potential deal. In some cases, that earlier step can take years, on and off, if the target is not explicitly for sale for example but instead "listening to offers". I’m sure the guy Nick Speed is a chancer however it does tie in with what a lot of us thought, they’ve reneged on an agreed fee with SJ, Jimmy boy has gone back to INEOS to ask for probably another £2/3bn and then he will try and buy 80% or 100%,

There is obviously something with the Qatar bid that is making the Glazers reluctant, whether it is too low or they feel uncertain about the source of funds. Ineos allegedly altering the structure of their bid would be for avoiding legal headaches as it doesn't sound like they are increasing the valuation or directly competing with Jassim. Qatar can keep putting in 7, 8, or 9th bids, but unless it's feck you money, probably won't make much difference.

Sure that's possible. But it's starting to feel like the Glazers aren't just simply trying to bleed the Qataris dry. They've actually been pretty disrespectful to them, and making them desperate. Imo.
The Glazers know how much money the Qataris have and think they deserve more of their money, it's that simple. The Qataris could have offered £10b and they'd be stalling like this because they believe they can extract more from the process by frustrating them and dragging it out as long as possible without a single care given to anyone but themselves.
The saving grace in this whole scenario is that the other class A shareholders can sue the Glazers if they don't accept the 100% sale, so it makes the situation a lot more palatable knowing that they'll be gone soon.
