Some players have next to no value. Telles. Baily. Williams. van Beek. Martial. Just trash who we should be thankful to offload and remove their wages. Any transfer fee is a bonus

If only it was so simple, for some we’re still carrying proportions of their transfer fees on the books and we need to recover that or we take a FPP hit. (At least this is my understanding of how it works)

People are freaking out about this and saying we are so bad a selling etc etc, 4 mill for a player one year left on his contract, past his best, load of wages recovered and not to mention other clubs wanted to get him on a free. Out of the deadwood, only Maguire, vdB and Sancho (if he counts) still have amortization cost. Bailly, Martial, anyone who's been here longer than their original contract could go on a free and it wouldn't negatively affect our books is my understanding.

Nah, they’ve all just returned from holiday and we’ve had Telles gone, Maguire stripped of captaincy, Rashford signed, Fred on his way and some others making early moves. All things considered it seems they’ve been waiting to see if they’re in the managers plans and now they’re off.
