4 million for 30 year old telles, who’s crap ok

40 million for 30 year old Fabinho who is also crap.
Telles who has one year left on his contract and is a LB whose parent club don't want him.
Fabinho who is under contract until 2026, whose parent club wasn't looking to sell and is a CM, oh and also hasn't actually been sold yet.

Exactly. It’s like the resale shite that infested this place for awhile.

We didn’t even buy Telles for that much, and most people would have forgotten he even existed, yet they’re the same ones complaining we didn’t get more for him?
I think people have a weird obsession with net spend, so they get upset when the sale goes against their maths on those long in/out lists some people write on here.

Context doesn’t matter to people who just want to moan

A bit harsh but is he bought partly to make Ronaldo have friends/teammates who speaks his own language?

This is a good deal for United. I was expecting us to just release him to save on wages and let him find a new club. To get a free, which potentially has add-ons? Regardless, its good.

As most have said, if we can do similar with Bailly, Williams, VDB, Fred/McT, Martial,Maguire, Henderson we will be in a good place.
Selling the majority of these players and letting youth make up the numbers, we are better off, especially if we can complete the striker signing and maybe have the sales fund one more

In truth he was an appalling bit of recruitment and scouting. Whoever came up with that suggestion needs hauling into a room and asked to justify it.

Never remotely suited to the league or club. Slow, no dynamism to get up and down quickly, passive. Pretty poor defender too. He was basically a half decent technician. Unfortunately that's not remotely enough to be a PL full back.

If you can't see the repeated pattern of United selling its players for a pittance. Yet other clubs can sell academy graduates and unwanted, average fringe players for decent fees. You are a gone case. Period. Because you have to be a special kinda dumb to believe this has anything to do with resale value.....
Not sure what your point is? What sane club would want to make Telles one of their highest paid players and give us a fee.

Who reported 10m and where did they get that info from?

£4m is decent if it's true that everyone else was offering a free transfer. Still can't shake the feeling that if he played for Chelsea and had been on loan to a side that won the Europa League he'd have gone for £15m.

They sold Ampadu for £7m and his value is much higher IMO.

The fact that Telles is sold and some Millions are coming in, is great news, lets get the job done...

4 million????????
And his new yearly wage is 7 million per season.
We are transfer mugs, absoloutely hopeless

Murtough and Fletcher are doing a great job according to some people

Maybe it’s time for us to hire some qualified people instead of people learning on the job but nope, that’s not the Man Utd way.

Good riddance, fair price. Anyone expecting 10m or more needs to give their head a wobble.

that being said when we were interested in buying him I thought we’d have a left wing version of TAA. Turns out he couldnt cross a road unless the traffic lights are red

People trying to justify 4m for a player who just won the Europa League... and aside from his United time was a regular for teams who regularly played in European competition...

Woopy Doo. Irish teams regularly play in Europe. Does it mean they should be worth millions?

4m is the right price. Unless you want him to remain at United for longer

He was playing for 2 of the top teams in Europe, mate, Porto, and Sevilla, not Irish teams; use your head.

I agree if that's all United can negotiate, fine, it's not unusual for United, given our history with negotiating exits.
However if we're going by general market value, its low and we should be doing better (this is one of the reasons we have issues with FFP today)

Yeah, Irish teams are always playing in Europe. The Irish national team are in the euro qualifying rounds at least every four years FFS

If you expected United to get £10+ million for a player they signed for £12 million a few years ago who was in the last year of his contract I have to ask who would pay that?

To sell a player for a good fee there has to be a market for them

If £4m is such a steal for him why aren't other teams desperate to buy him? We couldn't even get a loan fee last year.
